Good - Won the game
Bad - Bland, pedestrian offense and another missed opportunity to work on something other than QB runs.
Ugly - Defense. All of it.
**In fairness it's been brought to my attention that I, and others that might share my opinion, don't know jack **** so take all of this with a grain of salt.**
If you don't think Hurts has progressed and runs too quickly then you wouldn't know jack ****. Is that you, or others?
My postscript there was directed more at the number of definitive statements made by people in reference to others opinions. My guess is if you had enough experience in coaching/observing/evaluating QB's you'd be too busy to get on a message board and call anybody that disagrees with your opinion a dumb ass (essentially what you did). I've made the same mistake in the past but try to refrain from it when it comes to someone else's thoughts on a subject I'm not an expert in. But, if that's your thing by all means do what makes you happy. I'm just glad to get to work and have matching socks on every day.
Has nothing to do with waking up every day to call others names, but if it gives you more fodder for your rambling, have at it. I have provided statistics from multiple sources and articles from others saying Hurts is productive and progressing. In all, your opinion is your opinion, but when your opinion is factually wrong it's called bitching, which a lot of fans love to do. Calling a spade a spade hurts a lot of soft folks feelings, but the truth tends to do that. I can't stand ESPN as a network, but their statistics and analysis are off the charts in a good way, and their QBR says Hurts is #5 in the country. Let that sink in. So half the arm chair quarterbacks out there attempting to claim no progressing, pulling the ball too soon are voicing displeasure from a non-factual source. Once again, don't like me calling you and others out, but have more to say than a gimicky comment, because you lose all your audience. If providing evidence of truth is considered having too much time on my hands, then it's obvious you're on here to hear yourself talk and feel good about mastering the world from your keyboard. It should also be noted Hurts is not a pocket passing quarterback, never had, never will, and was not rated as one. I've eaten my fair share of crow, we all have, but when you're wrong you're wrong, and your wisecrack was simply you trying to be petty instead of offering any evidence to disprove my comments.

Anybody else notice Jalen dusting off his imaginary lapel after one touchdown run and later holstering his invisible six shooters after a pass? Is he going into acting or does he have a condition we fans should know? Maybe I'm old school and behind the times. Maybe that's cute nowadays. Maybe he should rub his fingers together and make a money gesture. All the cool gangstas do that.
If things don't change, this season won't end well. You heard it here first.
Bad - just as often, Hurts bailed from the pocket in face of no pressure? Old QB's maybe can 'plain this to us?
and i have to agree that we are not yet a championship caliber team. to that end, we haven't been tested yet. we haven't been down by 2 or more scores and had to come back to win yet. but that may very well happen in the coming weeks if we don't get better, especially defensively.
When? I can't think of a single time where Jalen "bailed" with no one putting pressure on him. Are you thinking those called QB draws are him "bailing" on a pass play? For example when Harris or Bo motion outside with an empty backfield and Jalen takes on step and then runs up the gut? That's a designed QB draw and we ran that at least 3 times last night.
In the live thread I noticed a few times in a series that he bailed... At the 30:35 mark is 2nd down and next play 3rd down. Looks like Saban and Daboll were coaching him up coming off the field in some regard.
@Destiny's Child he got lesson from Justin Thomas. But I can't find it any place, I did hear Eli talking about it last Saturday night during the game.Good: our kicker kicked a 48 yard field goal when he couldn't hit from 30 yards in the spring game. He is doing a fine job compared to my expectations for him. I also think Levi Wallace is playing very well.. he got beat one time but recovered to knock it away but besides for that he has really solidified that other side. CSU was a good offensive football team and we shut them down for the most part until we emptied the bench.
I don't feel like the OL play was all that bad... I thought pass protection was a lot better than the first 2 games? I know we didn't trash CSU on the ground but didn't seem like it was any worse than the other 2 games. 4th quarter they mashed a lot of yards.
