šŸˆ The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. A&M?

Good:: Mac Jones and our trio of outstanding receivers
Bad:: Believe it is a combination of both defensive line and secondary, but TAM was passing all game without difficulty. That will be frightening when we play Trevor Lawrence and Clemson.
Ugly:: This one is tough because we kicked their a$$, but our punt yardage is something I am concerned about. I believe Nick has solved the place kicking problem, however our punting was something less impressive.

Good: our offense is elite. No injuries
Bad: Too many points given up
Ugly: I love Alabama gear, but those bama overalls that guy was wearing that they kept showing were not that impressive

were they really wide stripes, guy and a gal dressed the same? I saw them in the stands.
Good- Mac’s passing and Metchie stepping up. He’ll have to carry the load next year.
Bad - yeah, giving up yardage. DB’s were a half step to inches away from shutting down drives. They are improving, though.
Ugly - piped in crowd noise and more interim pump music. NBA-like.
Unknown - the stadium experience. More like attending a minor league baseball game. Noise not a factor, able to stretch out, parked for free on the street three blocks from our gate, downtown bars and restaurants looked like a Tuesday, traffic nonexistent. I was eating dinner in Pell City by the start of the 2nd quarter of the aubrun game.

good: MAC jones, Jalen waddle, Najree hands out of the backfield, smith skill and being able to watch a field goal try again

bad- Wright missed assignments and tackles. It could have been Harris fault be he is an upper classman and he needs to be a leader and get it fixed.. teams are targeting him

ugly- 33 yard punting average, pre snap penalties Throwing a deep ball on 3rd and 1

But Wright will be seasoned by later. Good thing

33 yard average. No returns ( that I remember). Not great but really only 7 yards from "great ". Will take it

Good - the offense took what the A&M D gave them

Bad- the DL was not dominant, and must become so

Ugly- D Wright's inability to tackle - the guy is fast AND he gets to the ball, but he CAN'T finish
Coach Saban spoke to all three of these points in the post game press conference.
He said the A&M safeties were playing to prevent the run, so we threw over the top.
He thought the D Line did a good job. Said the goal was to contain Mond & not let him "run all over us like in the past" - during the game I was frustrated by this also, I noticed when we pressured Mond, he tended to "chuck & duck".
Coach was asked specifically about Wright's pick six & while complementing it, he pivoted immediately to the poor tackling (if you could call that "tackling") on the sideline that allowed #0's TD & pointed to Wright's "bust" on the previous play that allowed the TD to occur. He said they were going to have to do a lot of work with Wright on keeping to his assignments.

So, your 3 points were very close to what Coach brought up immediately after the game. Good job!

Dang... CNS seems to have a handle on this head coaching thing, huh? He is the greatest coach & I'm sure this weeks practice is going to have a lot of chapped a$$e$ from him chewing them up. Mask or no mask.
