🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Preseason Addition

Good: Brand new 75" Samsung QLD 4K mounted with sound bar hooked up and ready to go!

Bad: My baby granddaughter's birthday is the 29th, and will be celebrated the 30th. ( Funny thing, my daughter has a degree in, and works in finance. She did the math and told her OB that if the baby went past the 31st that she would be in the next school year and therefore they would be paying an extra year of pre-K / kindergarten. The doc thought about it a second and said, "Your absolutely right, the baby is fully developed, we will induce you on the 30th. So, at least she was born at the very beginning of the season and not in the middle).

Ugly: Injury. Mine. I will be having knee surgery to replace some worn out parts (from a previous knee replacement) on the 26th. But, I have used this to roll the grandbaby's birthday party to my house where I can still be stationary in front of my new TV. ( I could have used this to get out of going to the baby's party, but I really don't want to miss it). I consider it the best case compromise). 3 other men watching the game. Up to 5-6 womens in the kitchen or out by the pool, while the kids play in the pool. My son-in-law, brother in-law and step son will not be letting me lack in beer, rum, or while the game(s) are on. I just won't be grilling.

Okay, enough about me, the G/B/U for the team:
Good: Quality depth in all groups. Lets face it, a 16 game schedule will be a war of attrition.
Bad: starting off with 1st string injuries, in vital positions.
Ugly: Playing the Cinnamon Rolls in Tally. The way the Bama D played on the road last year, I really wish this was a home opener. Maybe Kane's daddy can make the trip as well.
Nice TV, Samsung is my brand. Unbelievable how prices have fallen over the years. I think you can get 85” for about a grand? I have 65” and hoping to add a sound bar soon.

Roll Tide

Good - football is back and excited to hear that DeBoer has this team rowdy to go and got all the bullcrap from last year out the door.

Bad - injuries we are now having pop up. Hope all these boys can get well soon and return.

Ugly - I had zero withdrawals from the sport this year. I am usually counting the days, watching the player numbers go down one by one. This year, I don't even really care and it gets here when it gets here. Not sure if that's because I'm busy or that I simply don't care anymore and it's just another channel to watch (but it is something to watch).

Thank you all for the well wishes. I appreciate it. The first surgery went great, and I am expecting no less from this one. Physical Therapy was hell, and I expect no less this time.

I am the same, sorta. With a few changes in time and circumstances I've gotten back into deeper dives on a few things. Looking at this team with more excitement since 2020.

Same here. As a whole I couldn't care less about when the season starts, but hearing Simpson doing well, hearing our defensive line talk in interviews, knowing we have some athletes at linebacker, a solid secondary, and athletic wide receivers I'm looking to see if I can get decent tickets to Tallahassee. BUT, even the Ohio State-Texas, LSU-Clemson games aren't moving the needle for me.

Good -- DeBoer has a year under his belt, new QB and OC, Proctor & Williams will be All-American

Bad -- Julian Sayin and Caleb Downs could have played in Tuscaloosa this season but they went to Ohio State a year ago.

Ugly -- road games at Jawhuh, Mizzou, AwBarn & South Carolina. I think the TIde will lose to the Dawgs & Gamecocks.

Good: Season has started and we're 5 days away from our kickoff.

Bad: I haven't seen us kick the ball yet, the "unknown" may be rough

Ugly: I'll be in Texarkana, Texas on September 27th. the UGA game. 😬
