🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly National Championship

Pretty simple to me: Hurts is an athlete playing QB. He is miles away from being anything other than that. His inability to do anything (outside of the gimme to OJ) in the passing game lead directly to the defense being forced to play 90+ snaps. 10 straight 3 and outs, I think? As mentioned earlier points on even one of those and the game is probably over. Clemson and Watson were on the ropes in the first half and the offense crawled in a hole and let them off the hook. I think if you put Coker, or even Sims, in that game Bama runs off and hides.

Also, the non-calls were terrible.

Good - Me wagering all my Bama bucks on "Clemson Wins"
Bad - Penalties, both justified and not, we had some drive killing penalties, Pass blocking, run blocking, DB play, Tim Williams (has anyone seen him yet??)
Ugly - A 3.5 star defense from a school with a portion of our budget, outplaying our 4.5 star defense. Same goes for offense too. Unacceptable. They did the exact same thing they did last year and we sat there and watched it. They barely changed their game plan, except took out a couple of the QB runs.

Ryan Anderson made himself some money last night. Cam didn't help his stock. Marlon is not ready for the league. Heck, our big named guys on the back end didn't look good at all, Ronnie, Minkah, Marlon, Averett, Tony. We got out played and out coached, and still had a change to win the game.

And how many times did we take a shot downfield to let our solid WR's go up and make a play? How many times did Clemson? Paid off for them...

Goes back to the 2014 Ohio State game where we gave up 42 offensive points. I don't care how bad our offense is, our D cannot give up 35 points and blame someone else. Offense scored on a nice drive to give the D a break, kicked off to Clemson with under 2 minutes to go and the whole field to drive, and they let them march down and score. Hard for me to blame that on the D, even though they played a lot of snaps. Clemson was running the plays just like we were, blocking, running routes, etc...

Good: After this game we are still Alabama. Our future is so bright we need to wear shades
Bad: Defense gave up too much. Penalties hurt deep at crucial times
Ugly: No pic 6 or scoops. Would have made a big difference.

Good - Our season, win the NC and it's a great season. Getting to the NC with an 18 year old kid running your offense is pretty impressive.

Bad - The Nostradamus 's on our game thread.
Nightmare scenario: Hurts has to lead us down the field to win the game with a minute left.
and this futuristic nugget minutes before OJ's 68 yard bomb,
I will post a pic of me eating dog shit if we score another TD in this game.

Ugly - Pretty sure it will be the pictures of the above prediction, if they ever come to viewing fruition.

Hurts should have went down on that last TD run similar to what Mason did in the Barn's title game against Oregon. I can't blame him for not thinking about it though. The offense was in complete firedrill mode and scored too fast.

Seriously? Get down so the possibility of a turnover or just flat out not scoring happens? SMH

You are 100% incapable of giving that dude a compliment arent you? Even when he scores its a mistake?

P.S. where's the picture of you eating dog shit? We're all still waiting.

I literally just said I dont blame him for not doing it. Its not something you think about in that situation. I'd still rather have us have the ball with no time left with a chance to win than Watson with it against our gassed defense.

I need to go find a dog.
