Yeah I don't think he's head coahing material after seeing what he did at Baylor. He would be a terrific defensive coordinator though. I say he would be because this is Coach Saban's defense. :D

Steele ain't going to be at BAMA forever. Saban knows that. Kirby Smart is being groomed for that reason. Smart actually reminds me a lot of Muschamp, and I think his future as a DC is just as bright. He has also learned a lot from Saban and Steele about recruiting, though his personality is very conducive to being a good recruiter anyway. Bottom line, this guy is hard wired to be a success.

Cignetti reminds me more of Muschamp, I think it's just the similar language they use.

FWIW, I'm not worried if Steele leaves. From what I hear it's going to happen eventually anyway. Possibly this off-season.

i think that he will be gone but i don't see him going to tenn. because i don't think they are going to fire phat phil. but if he did he would be a recruiting force with college footballs highest recruiting budget

A lot of the UT folks think that he would be a good DC.....I don't see him making a lateral move at this point in his career. Working for Saban at UA is all the positive publicity he needs. If he leaves to go anywhere I think it is as an HC and not a DC. JMHO.

I don't think Phil would get rid of Chavez that easy anyway. He could become UT's Head coach, and I wouldn't hold that against him, actually our riavlry would be better off. IMHO

If I were UT I would hope they were looking at Coach Fran. He's a good coach and I would love to see BDS upon his return.

He'll eventually get a HC job because that's the next step in his career. I think he's ready for that kind of move.

If UT offered the job to him he would have to seriously consider it. I wouldn't have any hard feelings. He's class all the way.

It's a nice thought, but I wouldn't count on Franny coaching anywhere at the college level for a while. The guy is nearly untouchable. He burned so many bridges leaving Bama the way he did, and ruffled so many feathers with his performance and his actions at A&M that I don't anyone would touch him. And forget about his recruiting ability. I'll be the first to admit that his senior class at Bama in 2005 was a winner, but let's face it: good players will come to Alabama if the right man is in the right place at the right time.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Tennessee does. I think if they run out Fill, then we will see other colleges with big $$$$ coaches not be as afraid to make a change. A good example would be Iowa. They are paying Ferentz an ungodly amount of money, and he has underperformed greatly. Other schools with high dollar coaches could follow.

I couldn't care less about Fran. I hope most Bama fans don't either. The guy is scum and doesn't deserve the time it takes to hate him. Besides, we would be pot calling the kettle black with the LSU Saban fanatics. We're better than that.

Has anyone heard about them telling fans to stay away from all home games(the big time spenders) in an attempt to show "Fat Phil" the door. They are only expecting 50 -60,000 this weekend.
