@TerryP I do not recall ever saying we would win 12. If I did it I cannot help but think it would have been one of those I never pick against Bama comments. I have been pretty consistent that before we crown this team national champions in the offseason we should let them play a few games and you gave me a hard time about it. I expected the first year to have growing pains just not against Vandy.

I am going to have to go back and find that thread to get the context. I have been pretty consistent in my thinking all off season and I was cautious. If I really did write that and meant it then I was smoking something and incosistent with everything else I posted. Was always lets let them play some games and let it play out.

For the record, based on your comments in the preseason, I took your "12!" answer as a tongue-in-cheek type deal. You were cautiously optimistic at the time, to put it mildly, if I recall correctly.

I felt we would be 10-2 or 9-3. I just didn't have the correct wins and loses. I kinda felt like we would lose to Georgia, UT and LSU.

Bingo...I as well had UGA, LSU, UT, and OU on the list of possible losses.
