Phatphil, maybe he knew what he was doing when he hired Pruitt! I mean he couldn't get anyone that played/coach to be the head coach?

Really, ur right on spot. He was turned down by experienced HCs because the UT program was in turmoil and factioned off.
I believe UT thought hiring Fulmer would settle program but it reality it was divided it more
As for hiring an assistant as HC... there were more qualified than Pruitt. I believe he thought it might hurt Bama in NC game. He has tremendous hate for Bama. Cant forget that
