| FTBL How do you think Clemson football would do in the SEC?

While it isn't a SEC schedule...they didn't have the "grind," but what are their results? Those who mentioned their record in the conference said they were a 10-2 team, or a 9-3 team.

Clemson will likely take their third loss of the season today; all three against SEC teams.

Anyone know why he doesn't embrace the portal?
If I remember correctly, Dabo didn't recruit Jr college kids either. His take was he didn't want to bring in someone from Juco to take the spot of someone he recruited. Noble to say the least but on the other hand you recruit HS talent each year to come in and take the spots of recruits from the prior years.

Dabo will still have to deal with trying to retain those good players that have offers from other teams but he's not going to buy other players.

I have no problem with his plan. The solution is to recruit and sign players with talent, IQ, and character. Next to impossible these days.

It will be their 4th! They lost to Louisville at Clemson by 12. I hope Texas beats them by 40, but I don’t see Ewers scoring that many.

He has been killing it in the portal in recent days.

They would struggle. He can recruit against Boston College, Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, NC State, Syracuse, and Georgia Tech based on success against them, but could he honestly recruit against Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, and Tennessee based on success against them? Clemson would be slap dab in the middle of the SEC, fighting to be 9-3, but more 8-4 range.

No development with anyone lately. Shipley was supposed to be the next big thing, as was Beaux Collins, Joe Ngata, and even Klubnik hasn't performed at the level he was recruited. Defense, they have recruited well in regard to high school rankings, but those guys outside of Myles Murphy really never showed up. Barrett Carter is a player, but one standout can't set the team. We haven't heard much out of Clemson lately, because there hasn't been anything to talk about, until Dabo decides to kick the dust up to get in the papers.
He has come into Alabama and stolen some really good players so maybe his recruiting would not be as bad as you think.
