| RECRUIT ALABAMA'S 2020 Signing Class - Wednesday opens final signing days

Bummer on Tim Smith.... Especially with the grade concerns of the other DT
(First of all, it's a Mike Farrell report.)

As of last week (and it's been the case several times) Smith has maintained he was signing with Bama. His coach was saying the same thing last week. He did take a visit to Florida this past weekend, okay. He was on an official to Bama recently as well.

This is one of Sal Sunseri's guys ... putting the opinion of Farrell versus Sal?

Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions with some of this stuff ... a lot of crap will fly around the next two days.

Propaganda is alive and well in the media. If you listened to Saban's press conference today you could see what he thought about the "experts" and their projections for the NFL draft.

Jarrett looks all LSU.

...still out visiting, still talking of a spring signing...

Four-star cornerback Jahquez Robinson is expected to fly to Alabama on Wednesday after he signs and participate in practices on Thursday, the Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood product's father told BamaOnLine over the weekend.

SD Question of the Day: What will be the biggest surprise?

quote:
CHAD SIMMONS, Southeast analyst

I am going out on a limb here, because there does not seem to be too many true surprises brewing in my states this cycle, but there is a lot of chatter around Alabama with Phillip Webb. He has been penciled into LSU's class for over a month, but that official visit to Tuscaloosa early in December changed things. Is it a done deal? No. LSU is in this and Florida cannot be completely ruled out, but if I have to go with a surprise for Wednesday, it will be Webb picking the Crimson Tide.
Believe it when I see it. lol

Jordan Burch

The five-star defensive end doesn’t talk about his recruitment publicly so pretty much everything is a rumor when it comes to Burch, but we’re hearing staying close to home has become a bigger priority in the final days. South Carolina still might be a stretch but both Clemson and Georgia are within three hours of his house.

Darnell Washington

The five-star tight end plans to sign on Wednesday and then announce his decision at the Under Armour Game. The rumor is that this has become a Georgia/Tennessee battle, but we’re also hearing Alabama feels good and is confident they’re still in this race. The word is that Georgia could still be ahead here.

Rakim Jarrett

The five-star receiver remains committed to LSU - he’s been committed to the Tigers since late April - and the rumor here is that Alabama is in great shape to flip him especially since he’s not signing until February. Some think Maryland could get him after his recent visit and that the Terps could pull a “Stefon Diggs” but that might be unlikely.

Demouy Kennedy

A former Auburn commit, there were a lot of rumors that the five-star linebacker was going to flip from Alabama to LSU. However, as signing day inches closer, the new chatter is that Kennedy plans to stick with the Crimson Tide.
