I'm hearing Shepard's name a lot this morning.

Things could still change I think based on what happens at UW (and maybe some other dominoes falling), but the word late yesterday afternoon was that Shepard, Marks, Huff and Grubb were planning to come with him. There was chatter that Cox stood a decent chance to be retained. The other side of the ball, he supposedly wants to bring at least a couple of defensive guys but also wants to sit down with the current UA guys. Robinson bolting to UGA was not a surprise obviously, but I think that clears the spot for his co-DC Chuck Morrell.

Yea I mean his name was rolling around even before Saban retired. He's the guy I wanted I figured with Deboer coming here he's pretty much a lock right now.

I'd love to hear this press conference and see what kind of plans he has as a whole.

Keep Freddie Roach
Keep Bala (especially if William Inge isn't coming along)
Keep Hutzler (may have butchered that spelling)
Morrell as DC/safeties
Julius Brown as CB coach

This is purely hypothetical but kinda the approach I might take to the defensive side.

I don't think we want the Washington D. Ranked 94th
Also we need coaches that know the recruiting landscape in the SEC.

Here you are going to have to be patient. I can't remember how he said this, but DeBoer basically said his coordinators built their assisting staff's.

In other words, I don't expect to find out who is the offensive line coach until we know who is the offensive coordinator.

JMO Nick is going to try his very best to retain the roster as best he can but he is going to lose many. Those don't give a shit about alabama and never did. They came for dollars and Nick and that is it. F um

Coach has to get this staff right or he will be gone in 3 years.

Coach and Nick will FastTrack recruiting contacts for all the high school coaches asap. He has to get his folks up to speed or he is getting further behind the eight ball.

Not sure what the deal on TRob was but my simple mind was hoping he and Freddie would be retained for at least one year and along with Nick they could prevent the exit door from working to the portal.
