Not a chance. He has one year of experience in the NFL. That wouldn't translate to success in college. That would amount to another Shula hire. Plus he's got a good thing going in Houston. He got them to the playoffs in year one for starters

Steele was never a long term hire regardless, a year or two at most. I've been trying to chase stuff down and separate the meat from the fat, but I'm confident in saying that the people that needed to know, were informed shortly after the Rose Bowl. It was definitely a well kept secret, even with the smoke leaking from some places.

I definitely liked the way they covered Michigan's backs swinging out of the backfield and TE in the flats.. They watched the film against us. I believe their issue was their d-line just couldn't cut it against the O-line like Michigan. Won't have that issue at Bama.

Yea, I think the thought might've been that Chuck would take over the DC position and T-rob might take the Co-DC role here but apparently he just wanted a fresh start. Honestly I'm surprised he went to Georgia though, I would've thought if he had put his name out there a P5 school would've tried him at DC just probably not an SEC one.

Nevermind, he's co-dc with Inge so not sure who takes that spot. Inge is assistant head coach so he may have the seniority.

I was shocked at how well they defended Texas WR's. They did better than we did. . .

Washington lost their NC game because of the Line of Scrimmage. DeBoer knows it & is coming to 'Bama change that.
