I'll be honest, I didn't know of Courtney Morgan but from what people are saying of him and what I've read. He's an invaluable piece to this whole puzzle.

As I've just started learning about these guys, Morgan reminds me of Adam Bauman (Oats DoOp's in his first season.)

I can't recall the exact number...want to say it was 9 million: the UW deficit in their athletic department last year.

Now, think about money, personnel, and toys he'll have at his disposal.

What Terry said. To get the number down, yes, some literally had to leave. More than a handful. I said back on page 2 that we'd see about 20 leave. I stopped counting, but it has to be around that number now (that have entered the portal). And that was before we knew Saban was retiring. And yes, a couple have left that UA didn't want to lose... also said that was likely... but overall it has gone pretty well considering.

Five years ago I could have told you down to the number; give or take a couple. Now, with two signing dates and the portal?

Someone will take a stab at that total in the next three weeks following the NSD in February.

Back in December I saw the numbers...at that point they looked to be 15 or so over.

The game has become self-destructive. The revenue generated in the off-season will disappear when fans wake up to the fact that it matters zilch if they pay attention to affairs in the offseason. If their donations and contributions intended to attract and sign top recruits don’t do just that, then fan donations, contributions, and off season attention will stop. Just wake us up at kickoff, as we’ll cheer on whoever suits up on that day.
