Schumann as DC and Pruitt on staff in any other capacity (on or off field) has always been best case scenario. Go back to the early pages of this thread. Or this one. If Saban pulls this off, and it isn't done yet from what I understand, it'll be as big a deal as any recruiting class he's hauled in during his tenure. I just can't overstate the value that Pruitt would bring (back) as a voice in the room. Also, if it happens there is something else involved that is equal parts funny and awesome too (I won't mention it now because I don't want to jinx anything).

Hope Bama is finalizing something with both Schumann and Pruitt. It's been mighty quiet the last few days.

Does this "something else" possibly have to do with inside dirt on Fulmer that may very well lead to his long overdue comeuppance?

Best guess on when we hear something on either position?

Maybe by the end of the week but it could certainly go longer. Also, re: Schumann, Kirby isn't going to let him go without a fight. Might be, and likely would be futile, but he does not want to lose Schumann... especially to Alabama.

Also, welcome to the board...

I’m just going to keep quiet and listen to what you say here - too much bad info and reactions out there. You folks have never steered me wrong. Thanks much sir.

No worries man... there's a lot going on and some news gets buried quick in the replies. Armstrong is a good hire though... One of those young guys who is shooting up the ranks and is really bright. Also think it is important that he's a guy that wanted a job at Alabama... worked his ass off and now has it. Would bet the house that he's going to be an elite recruiter very soon too.
