I first heard about JP's return over the Thanksgiving weekend. At that time the "process" was underway and, according to JP, it was about Alabama's compliance department. This is what he shared, JP, with some folks in N. Alabama over the holidays. There's been more since then, but that's the beginning.
More recently the same news came from someone else—this time from the football operations side of things. And like earlier, "it's all about compliance."
From "my side of the world," it's always been, UA Compliance.
(If you'll scroll back a bit you'll see
@Brandon Van de Graaff and I touch on this a bit. Byrne and Saban have always coalesced, with their decisions, with compliance.)
As I mentioned to
@bamafan4ever, if UT is slammed with sanctions the NCAA could rule that those sanctions follow Pruitt to Alabama. You, me, compliance, Saban, Byrne, and everyone else here ... we don't want any part of that, right? Could, not would, but still.
Things seem to be shaking out quickly...we'll get the full staff picture by the end of the month—based on what I understand. We may not get titles.
Just spitballing ...
Roach, Sunseri, and Armstrong make a strong front seven. TRob and Schumann with the back end?
(The team will need smart safeties.)
