My 1968 ford torino .....had 5000 miles on it....$2000....
Mom n dad picked me up at B'ham airport in it......was returning from VN ,....first tour... had sent $$$ home....for it... was awesome to be a kid..still...and have a ride like that
Mom and Dad bought the Nova for me 50 years ago TODAY. I remember it like yesterday when he pulled into the drive way. That sound was sweet. We ordered the ride and we made a mistake by now selecting the 375HP version thus we got the 350HP. It has been in Mom's garage since 2001 and a couple months back I gave it to my only child (daughter and son-in-law) and they plan to put it back into great shape( those pictures are from when they came to get the ride). They have a 3 year son (Major) and he is going to be Kool driving that thing to day care. Mom and Dad were in no position financially to buy that car but they did anyway. Dad and I wore the same size shoes but I never filled them like that Cowboy did.
Were it not for all of the safety and efficiency requirements now cars could definitely be cheaper. Every time I see the next big thing in cheap vehicles it won't ever make it to the US that cheap due to all of those requirements.
Off the top of my head-
Tua- still no indication one way or another.
McMillon and McKinney - A flip of a coin kind of thing here...could go either way.
Moses, Ruggs, Smith, Leatherwood all look promising for their return.
