The last two times down there we've had to pull one out at the last second and four OTs, this against an unranked opponent. The streak of five is awesome, and the way things should be, but nothing is ever certain. Aside from 2011, Saban always played scared down there, including his time at both LSU and Bama. I don't know what was different about 2011, but that was the only time I ever saw him go into voodoo land and just kick the shit out of them. All other times, we either lost or played like total shit for 99% of the game and pulled a rabbit out of the hat at the very end. And of course, Saban never won there as the HC at LSU. Maybe, just maybe, Deboer doesn't have that same mental block about that place that Saban had.

A 1-11 season is successful at Auburn if the one is against Alabama. That’s a big factor for any Alabama coach or team.
