🏈 This year's JR class may not be finished yet- Devonta Smith returning?

Bowl games were supposed to be a reward for a great season and used to be how the National Championship was influenced. The Rose, and Sugar Bowl used to be the deciding event for NC before the BCS era. Now they are just TV events with swag and bragging rights.
Don’t know if anybody brags about winning the famous Idaho condom free armed forces potato chip bowl..............
And 100% right....but more than TV event...more a community sponsorship event on tv... if it aint one of my schools .....i pass..... except in rare occasions where its a game thatis interesting....or nothing else to watch...
Now playoffs..... different story.... same as nfl

McCaffrey's announcement was a few days after Fournette's (who I saw getting some grief recently about quitting on the 2016 season and that was from another football player at LSU.)

Fournette and Clowney were guys that quit before the bowl games.... lol.

Which, BTW - Is something I'm shocked has not formally happened yet. Still waiting for a stud soph to sit out his junior year. Trevor Lawerence would be the perfect candidate

Yep... i have a lot of adjustments to the things happening in the country and world....CF was kinda a constant.....
Guess there are more to come....
However...i doubt TL is the kind to sit out under Dabo.... good chance to be QB as back-to-back-to-back...NCs....

Then why even have bowl games if they are meaningless.... once ur team is out of NC picture..... why play in final regular season games..... is that what is next ?
@Tidestalker

Personally, I'd rather all the seniors and the guys leaving early sit out and let the guys that are going to be the focus of the team the next year get a chance to get meaningful reps and playing time... but hey, that may just be me.

Gonna be the final game ever for a lot of them. Find it hard to sit those games out, outside of the draft picks that is. Some will make camps and practice squads, but very well will be the last live game action most ever see.

I really don't disagree........totally! Mostly though.
But .... I would think... work it out with coach to be part of team. Don't let ur opponent know there will be a fresh face and help mentor fresh face.
Is that to much to ask????????
Instead of.... hey, bubba, look at me!!!!!!!
If i was HC... they would have to buy their own ticket to the game!!!!!
Even Lewis. He could do same even though he has legit reason with his injuries. But whag would that say to nfl team???

I mean Fournette practically did that his junior year. Every couple of weeks he would be "injured" and sit out and then miraculously be okay when LSU had a "big" game.

If that starts to happen, then I hope universities start yanking their scholarships and make them pay back their tuition for the semester ESPECIALLY if they start collecting royalties which seems to be the current trajectory for the future.

I really don't think I would care to watch the Crimson Tide play in a game in which they don't care if they win or lose. I love the Tide because they have always gone out on the Gridiron with the intent of winning. When they lose, even if it doesn't matter, there's just something not right about that, that's not Alabama. Don't put on the Crimson and White if you don't intend on kicking some hind parts.

ROLL TIDE!

Why lost me on that!
You to @rocknthefreeworld
@Justneedme81

And this just started.....makes it difficult to see what everyone is disagreeing with me about...lol
You're just missing multi-quote, right? It looks that way to me. @planomateo you see that?

IF that's the case clear your cache, history, and all of that on your browser.

A Mac product caching a browser session to the point of CSS changes creating errors like he's seeing? Only on Mac products?

Not Clowney. He announced right after their bowl game.

Fournette was off and on that season. I want to say he skipped two or three games. We'd have to go back and look. Josh remembers it along the same way ...
