🏈 This year's JR class may not be finished yet- Devonta Smith returning?

Ima dummass. Could you please eplain this.

Lewis had injuries coming into the year and more during the year. If you noticed he would come off the field a lot during games, that was because the coaching staff were limiting the amount of snaps he took in a game, so as to not aggravate the injuries further. You might have also noticed some of the snarky remarks I made of him only playing a few snaps and then coming off the field for fear of stubbing his toe. That was what that was about. Smart to an extent but frustrating when no one else on the defense not named Jennings could form a pass rush this year.

Thank you, sir

I'm all for the players doing what they deem best. With that said it would be great for #6 to return for The King. The guy catches most everything that comes his way and he knows when to make his move on the ball while the ball is in flight. He just has football savvy and his the say he was issued the jock and socks.

McShay's new rankings:

3 - Jeudy
12 - Tua
14 - Ruggs
20 - R. Davis
22 - McKinney
30 - D. Smith
32 - Leatherwood

A few surprises there... To have 7 dudes on that list is pretty crazy.

I'd like to know the percentage they get right or even close though. Doubting anyone figured Daniel Jones would get drafted so high. or that Rosen would have fallen like he did. It's these fools, along with those promising the world that truly mess a kids future up by having them thinking they will all go that high in the draft. I'd bet my house on the fact we do not have even six guys go in the first round. I see maybe four, and I don't even see one of my four in Moses being on McShay's list, or Wills for that matter.

It’s all a guessing game by these guys. They all think they have the answers as to what each team needs and how each GM will make their selections. They miss more often than they hit.
I really wish these guys wouldn’t do these mock drafts, because a lot of these kids take more stock in these lists and less into the information that their college coach and the GMs give them and then they declare and then drop 15-30 spots lower or even 2-3 rounds lower than what these experts predict.

SI writer for Bama saying 75% chance Ruggs, Tua, Mosley, Leatherwood return for SR season. I'm unsure on the numbers myself I'd guess probably around 50% for Tua, Mosley, Leatherwood. I'd say Tua is the indicator if he returns some of the receivers wouldn't mind returning just to do something special together.

Next year basically is justyn Ross, Smitty, chase , and waddell . Not near as deep as this year

No new possible recruits, that are capable of contributing, that may add quality depth to the receiving corps?

Roll Tide!
He's talking depth of the draft, not depth at Bama. Has to be ... Ross is a Clemson receiver and Chase plays at LSU. I am thinking they may be talking about two different things with depth here: NCAA and Bama.

There's no need to worry about depth with Bama's receiving corps. Metchie and Waddle alone will cause nightmares for defenses with a good group coming in and a few we're waiting to break out.

Not mentioned is the trickle down effect the snap counts led to over the season and I'm not just referring to linebackers. We also saw Eboigbe, Young, and Barmore get about three times the snaps they'd see in a normal season. There was a consistent six man rotation (without many snaps from Dale) by the time Bama met Auburn.
