Good- 5 stars defense, 5 stars kicking game and 5 stars on offense except the run game.

Bad- Run blocking

Ugly- Nothing stands out.

Good:. Young, Prentice, Burton, the RBs, lots of true freshmen WRs

Bad: Eh...OL needs more work. The 2's did play ~as well as the 1's

Ugly: Goshdarnit! Bama had a punt blocked and didn't score in the 4th quarter!

Bad- Some mental mistake.

Ugly- Well I guess the block punt. But the D step up and stop them.

Bad: wish we could have ran the ball better but Bama took what Utah state gave them

Good: Glad to see the receivers perform.
Bad: Run blocking, and pass blocking early on.
Ugly: It was Utah State. jawja over Oregon was a little more impressive.

Good - A win
Bad - D got a shut out and allowed 3/17 on third. down. Looks like they played lights out.
Ugly - Didn;t get to see the game. First open season game I did not get to watch in a looooong time.

Good- BAMA football is back!!! Offense and Defense on point! The intensity of Golding late in the 4th with the subs in!!

Bad- run blocking was meh at times. The Blue Cows did a lot of slanting and overloading a side and caused some issues. Blocking on our last punt. Burnip NEVER had a chance!

Ugly- got to have something so the old coach in me says “too many penalties (6-40)”! In a close game, penalties in key situations could be key. We also lost the turnover battle as well.

Good - Defense looked really good. Albeit against an inferior foe, it still takes a lot to dominate and shut out a team. Ricks played well, Gibbs played well, and Burton appeared to play well. Didn't watch Steen much, but good to see the transfers show their value.

Bad - Offensive line at times.

Ugly - The fact I just could not get into this game. Not sure if it was the opponent or if college football just isn't hitting me like it has the rest of my life. We cooked, got on our gameday attire on, waited all day and watched games, finally got to our game and I was disinterested. Glad we won and enjoyed seeing our guys out there. Hoping this isn't a permanent feeling.

In case you missed it:

2:00 left in the first half and we see "'effin wake up!" The media crew laughed, I saw fans around the 'net laughing, but I didn't see anyone mention Saban called a time-out before the half. How often have we seen the criticism, "why doesn't he use his time-outs?" That led to a one minute drive for another score.

Burnip out kicked the coverage on his punt. It's logged as a 51-yarder.

Saban played all four corners in the first half. I'd expect that when we see guys struggling but that definitely wasn't the case last night.

I don't recall seeing the tent come up once last night. You?

If I remember this correctly the most receptions Burton had in a game last season at UGA was four. He had five last night.

Bad: Running game wasn't as solid as I thought it would be. I also didn’t see Kitselman come back after he limped off with what appeared to be a knee injury..

Ugly: I only missed my final score prediction (2-0) by 53 points. Guess I should have used that score on the Iowa game.

JMO but both Roydell and Chace seemed quicker than they were before the knee repair. Not sure why Sanders lost ground on the dreaded depth chart but perhaps the transfer from GT's move to #1 back bothered him and his performance suffered. The Miller kid is a good RB as well.

Loaded is used to easy and often with Bama but the talent at receiver is in fact loaded and young. Some of those older receivers with hurt feeling are going to find themselves standing on the sideline next to Nick's water guy.

I like the new Nike polo's that the staff wore last night, and it comes in black as well as crimson and the white worn last night. The cost is 65.
