Help needed here. Is there an “official “ assigned to each sideline to explain to the coach what these clowns are calling? There was a guy with playoff hat and headset speaking with DeBoer after the call.

That I do not know. I always felt there was because there is always a guy in the same hat, but a different top.

Well. Its simple. Theres a lot of stuff going on and lots of moving parts.
Lots of people on sidelines. Amazing sometimes to see how many.
The officials alley is somewhat defined. He's watching field not his ROW

Officials have to be protected for sure. Tough thankless job.

Every one needs to understand their responsibilities and stay outta the way or not be on sideline

I don't think anyone has an issue with him doing his job. I think the issues lies with when it was called, where this occurred, and no warning being given out like you see 100% of the time. Are you letting something like that potentially change the game?

I thought Oklahoma made the FG but the refs said no. The rules anslyst said the FG is not reviewable unless it is within the uprights (ie, not above them, which it clearly was). He also said the ENTIRE FOOTBALL has to be BEWEEN THE UPRIGHTS, and the ball was directly over the upright. Did anyone else think the FG was good before they showed the replay.

I saw the same earlier this year. Don't remember game. But ruled went over upright.

Several 'Bama fans and almost all the national media questioned whether we should be in the playoffs. Maybe it was OKLAHOMA that shouldn't have been in the playoffs.

Two teams out of the same conference shouldn't have to play each other in the first round. But probably gonna happen anyway.

That would have been 1994, night game at Bryant Denny. Jay Barker actually completed some passes in a cone back win. Then in 95 we go over there and beat them again.

Was at PC Beach signing condo mortgage that weekend. First night game at Bryant Denny, Barker (400 yds) Zeier (260 yds). Had forgotten, only 55 yds rushing and still won!!
