🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. OU

Have said ugly words all year.
If u noticed last night. When they came to LoS And snapped ball
Much better results

When they changed play. Waited to 2-3 seconds to snap ball . The D was much better prepared
The Defense is simply baiting Grubb/Ty into thinking under pressure.

Putting Ty under center and running downhill needs to be done much more even though the defense will gamble on a run most of the time. #4 looked so much better when he had that downhill start and the OL seemed to do a little better with just firing off and getting a hat on a hat. Easy to convert that action to play action but use less wideouts. We need 87 to get over whatever it is that has him on the mash unit each week.

Grubb is so F overrated. Problem is nobody is coming for him.

On Williams....imagine you're some of the receivers on the Bama team and this cat #2 is drawing a very large check while contributing basically nothing. That will not be handled well going forward. He is a sophomore, but he plays like a sophomore at Saraland. Cut the rope or pay him what a backup RB or TE rate.

My count might be off, but I had us with about 10-12 DL playing major snaps last night.

Forrest Gump "that's one less thing to worry about"

The sideline interference call!!
So this is the AI explanation.
In college football, sideline interference
involves players or coaches entering the restricted area (between the sideline and coach's box) and disrupting play or officials, resulting in escalating penalties: a first warning, then 5-yard delay-of-game fouls for the 2nd and 3rd offenses, and a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct foul for the 4th and subsequent infractions, with an automatic first down for the defense if it's the offense. A rare, severe penalty occurs if a player/coach physically contacts an official during a live ball, leading to a 15-yard penalty.

Years ago, I was coaching and we were on defense. We intercepted the pass and the official on our sideline turned and when he did, he came into the coaches box. Well, the old baseball coach in me was windmilling my arm and screaming Bingo, Bingo, Bingo!!! My elbow hits someone and I look at another coach and ask who in the hell did I hit. I thought it might have been him or even one of our guys on the sideline. He points to the ground at the official, who is out cold!!! When he comes to, he is bleeding from the ear! Tells me he had officiated for 15 years and been run over in a pile but NEVER had he been hit that hard!!
What’s really concerning/disheartening about the call last night, was it happened 30 yards away and it was on a QB keeper stuffed for a yard or two gain and that would’ve forced a punt. Poor call all the way around.

Well. Its simple. Theres a lot of stuff going on and lots of moving parts.
Lots of people on sidelines. Amazing sometimes to see how many.
The officials alley is somewhat defined. He's watching field not his ROW

Officials have to be protected for sure. Tough thankless job.
In one way i agree with you. But in the other
Every one needs to understand their responsibilities and stay outta the way or not be on sideline

I thought Oklahoma made the FG but the refs said no. The rules anslyst said the FG is not reviewable unless it is within the uprights (ie, not above them, which it clearly was). He also said the ENTIRE FOOTBALL has to be BEWEEN THE UPRIGHTS, and the ball was directly over the upright. Did anyone else think the FG was good before they showed the replay.

I blocked him years ago. Not proud of it, but his sheer, complete stupidity was beginning to affect me. I can’t stand people who run that mouth & DO NOT HAVE THE BALLS to come back & say they were wrong. And then when Bama eventually loses a game, they are like- I told you all along!
I finally couldn’t take the STUPIDITY anymore
You won't see this, Second and 26, but....I don't blame ya. I'm hell to deal with. No joke, my therapist told me I needed to give up sports

Even after the replay, I thought it was good until they explained why it was bad.

Against a strong rushing defense, we were able to have enough of a rushing attack to keep them honest.

Still feel like Grubb likes to get too cute with his running game at times.

Hill is getting better, but he will learn eventually that he just needs to lower his pads sometimes. Dude is a tank and will almost always fall forward 2 or 3 yards. And also, after having to tackle that tank all game, defenders will be a lot more reluctant to tackle him late in games.

Several 'Bama fans and almost all the national media questioned whether we should be in the playoffs. Maybe it was OKLAHOMA that shouldn't have been in the playoffs.

Two teams out of the same conference shouldn't have to play each other in the first round. But probably gonna happen anyway.
Wayne, look up the locked on Bama pod for the after game reactions...

My son’s team lost a game his sophomore year on a similar call. Ball directly over the pipe is no good. It was a potential game winner from 48 I believe.
