šŸˆ The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Arkansas

Good—-SEC West victory, on the toad. Tua was great. Passing offense was superb fir most of the game.

Bad—-Our run game is not nearly as good as it has been the last several seasons. Like when Arkansas STUFFED Bama on fourth and one. Missing a is not good.

Ugly—-defense gave up HUGE chunks of yardage on numerous occasions, and allowed Arkansas to score 31 points. It could have been more if not for two list fumbles and a pick six.

Bama's 4 DL couldn't whip HogVille's 5 OL and apply pressure time and time again then the Hog threw underneath similar to what Petrino did with his Birds vs Bama in game 1. Just way too much time for the QB that cleared the shorter routes to #85. I am glad we have #14 and #15 at safety.......two good players #7 and #5 took it on the chin today even though #5 got the pick 6.

Oh and while I am bitching please put Najee behind #24 as the 4th back. I can't believe that the RB coach hasn't put a foot up #22's behind about his dancing and told him to hit the hole. Then again that is just me.

Not just you. I've been saying the same thing. He looks like a Henry but tries to run like a Barry.

We don't have a Rueben, McClain, Hightower type in the LB unit thus far. Not even an Evans. Of course, those guy don't grow on trees but still. Mack and Moses are solid but the defense needs one of them to step up and be that guy.

Good: Offense is unstoppable and continues to be so.
That package with Jalen and Tua on the field together. Those 2-3 plays alone collectively gave every DC in the country heartburn. Locksley is the damn man. Halfway through the season and it seems like he has new wrinkles debuting every week.

Bad: Lots of confusion and mistakes on the backend in the first half.

Ugly: Arkansas' defense

Good: Tua is awesome and Damian Harris showed up.

bad. bulavous missing an extra poitn

Ugly: our O-line and defense as a whole.. we were exposed as average in both today

When has Harris "not showed up?" Oh yeah, I forgot you're the one that said Alabama had no running game...

Finally got to watch the game...

Good - Passing offense is just ridiculously efficient. Could watch Tua throw those deep balls all day... Harris ran it well too. Aside from the Irv Smith fumble really nothing to fix over there.

Bad - Seems to be some confusion on that second line of defense. I think it was Gary Danielson who originally pointed that out vs TAMU, but a lot of guys either running through holes un touched or receivers running free. In the passing game it's between the LB's and secondary and a handful of times it looks like 2 dudes will go with 1 receiver instead of splitting and covering both. Don't know if it's communication, confusion, undisciplined play, etc... But I'm sure they're working on it.

In their defense, Arky blocked it really well on a couple runs today... And sometimes it's well executed pick plays that are hard to cover.

Ugly - Nothing is ugly... Except maybe the missed PAT. At this level that just shouldn't happen.

Good- The offense with 630+ yards, 400+ in the first half!!! Tua is having a blast!!! The hand shake messing with the G.O.A.T. is a prime example.

Bad- miscommunication on the back half of the defense in the first half. That was ugly but I will have to give Chad Morris some credit though. He gave a lot of eye candy for our guys, pump fakes all around, and several pick or rub routes.

Ugly- youth on defense and miscommunication on these guys part is a tad bit concerning.
Arkansas' defense though........they are AWFUL!!! I do honestly believe that if we hadn't taken our foot off of the gas and milked the clock, 100+ points and damn near 1,000 yards would've been possible as well.

Good - Offense in all phases

Bad - missed extra point and gave up a long kick return at the end of the game that setup the last Arkansas score. Offenses failure to convert on 4th and 1. I think that was in the 2nd Qtr if I recall correctly.

Ugly - This D has problems. Never seen this many rushing yards consistently being given up by a Saban coached team at Alabama. This was not just occurring in the 2nd half against the reserves as some have argued. The D Line does not seem to be controlling the gaps or getting off the blocks. They are not playing with confidence or with the typical Bama D attitude.
