| FTBL Tennessee / Pruitt sanctions announced

$3000 ain’t much in this day and age. Like I said my hosts would get that much in the 80’s. Matter of fact Louisiana tech was a brand new D-1 program and the defensive coordinator doled out $5000 to my host. We decided to eat good and pocket the rest. Some of the guys had hookers for the weekend!!!!

Apparently St George of Fentanyl giveth & taketh away. Lots of folks like cash. I was selling pups at Collinsville Trade Day back in the early 90s and an old guy in overalls asked how much for 2. I told him $800 since I was getting $500 apiece. He reached into the bib of his overalls and pulled out a wad of cash that had to be $5K at least. Asked the guy in the booth next to me if he knew who he was, biggest pig farmer in the area I was told. Carrying cash isn’t a crime, may be the only chance a snagging a deal sometimes.

Who seriously cares anymore??? It's legal topay now, punishments are weak, and morality is nowhere to be found these days. It's tiringeven discussing anymore.
I do. It shows there's no such thing as a level playing field when it comes to sanctions from the NCAA. They saw their chance to nail someone and chose Pruitt. They have him dead to rights, but they had Wade in the same scope. Why the difference?

It's funny how it works when UT points the finger at someone and how the NCAA responds like a hunting dog.

Why even carry cash....a hundred or couple hundred and a piece of plastic....or iphone...can buy most anything....
You can't buy weed with a Mastercard. 😈

Seriously though, as much as they track purchases now-a-day, cash is a better alternative. Over the last ten or more years you won't find a charge on any of my cards for a bar: it's not like I haven't been to one, or two, over the last decade.

On the same note, just a different key ...

When I go out to eat I'll pay for the food with my card, but I'll tip with cash. It's up to them how much they report to their boss...but I guaran-damn-tee you the servers give better service for cash tips than those left on a card.

On another note ... it amuses me how people will buy RFID wallets so people can't scan their cards but they'll put all their information on their phone with no protection. To me that makes about as much sense as a teen saying "I'll pull out so you don't get pregnant."

I agree that the NCAA has no teeth and they're like umpires where they can make a call on how they are feeling at the moment which sucks. I'm specifically talking about everyone's concern having him on our staff. What he did is no different than any other team in America. Sure, it may have been more egregious with a head coach actually handing the money out, but once again, it's happening at every school in America, and is now legal through NIL. I guess you could hit into the decision making aspect, but if he came back to Alabama he would not be making those decisions as a head coach, but as an assistant under Saban. He would be directed, not the one directing. That's the only reason I wonder why the thread stays concerned about him joining our staff as if he would go rogue and destroy us or something.
