Only time I ever met Doug Layton or John Forney was in Lexington. My wife took this out of focus picture of our son with them after the game. October 1, 1988. Vince Sutton made the last second TD pass to Gene Newberry to win the game, 31-27. I believe they had us 17 -0 at halftime.

Mammoth Caves is one of the most beautiful cave systems in the world. Also Kentucky provided us with some fine horses and horsemen during the war of northern aggression. Although I still am upset with Kentucky for staying neutral. Cmon man. Pick a side! Who are you, Switzerland?

On the good side, my wife's from Paducah. In honor of her and another great Kentuckian:

Back when I fished offshore, there was (still is) a Winn Dixie on Thomas Drive in the Panama City Beach area. They had the best fried chicken! We would swing by there the night before and load up. we'd put in the cooler with the beer and sodas. easy to eat one handed while fishing, and toss the bone over these. After one particular bottom trip, I was cleaning up the boat and found some chicken bones in the fish hold. I accused a couple of the guys of tossing their bones in there instead of over the side. The vehemently denied doing so. COme to find out, when we tossed the bones over the side, the Red Snapper where eating them on the way down. They regertiated the bones in the hold.
