Rick, I bought this and a matching dimmer switch from a JC Whitney catalog in 1968. This is in my Jeep now, no way to use the dimmer switch pedal nowadays.

Some of you know I lost a brother on Christmas Eve. He fought and won 4 battles with cancer but pneumonia finally took him down. I have been moving some of his Santa Collection to my shed until I can figure out what to do with all of his stuff. Here are some of his lifesize Santas.
Plus, probably of more interest, I found this before Patsy did.

So sorry to hear about your brother. Losing family is tough. It's even tougher when it's around the holidays.
December/Christmastime isn't the best time for our family, either. In the month of December, I've lost 2 great-grandparents (mom's grandparents), 2 grandparents (mom's parents), and my dad. My granddad died on Dec. 22nd and we had his funeral on Christmas Eve (bitterly cold that day, got down to 12°). My grandmother died on Christmas Eve (2011), and my dad died on the 10th (2010). My 2 great-parents died within 10 days of each other. They were together in a nursing home (I can't remember the exact dates, but it was just before Christmas that year; early 80s).
And this year, mom got sick just before Thanksgiving. And the only thing I could think of was "Not again!" And when she had to go in the hospital, that thought came to the front of my mind and stayed there until she came home. Thankfully, she was only in for 4 days (Wed - Sat). And thankfully it was something they could easily fix. Now, she's about 90% back to normal.
Also, that's a helluva Santa collection he had. My mom wold LOVE that (we have quite a few around the house during Christmas).
Sean, I understand how you feel, we lost our dad on Christmas Eve in 2015 to dementia. It's tough to not dwell on it each year. Thankful your mom has recovered that much. Prayers she continues.
