For those of you hoping O'Brien or Golding go somewhere other than Tuscaloosa, here are the current openings in the NFL:

Caroling Panthers: Head Coach which means the entire coaching staff
Indianapolis Colts: Head Coach which means the entire coaching staff
Denver Broncos: Head Coach which means the entire coaching staff
Arizona Cardinals: Head Coach which means the entire coaching staff
Houston Texans: Head Coach which means the entire coaching staff
New England Patriots: Offensive Coordinator
Cleveland Browns: Defensive Coordinator

Tennessee Titans are a alot of players short...and one is QB...
Fixed that for you, I'm a Titan's fan, and man we are quite a few players short. Dealing with the same issues Bama is but not as much ability to bring in talent. Oline needs a rework, Receivers need a rework, and of course QB. Problem is, not sure any of these will be fixed with Derrick Henry still back there and that's a shame. We've wasted what might be a Hall of Fame career with some really subpar teams that are built lazily.

I'm still baffled about the A.J. Brown trade, Vrabel was dead set against it, and one reason the GM is no longer there.

Yea, the GM had some other issues too, but that trade just broke the camels back as they say. He's had 3 misses in the 1st round on picks already and 1 that never even played a snap in the GA O-line player

Hindsight 20/20.... taking Malik Willis and then seeing Brock Purdy go to the 49ers as the Mr. Irrelevant and what he's doing now would be a swing and a miss on the Titans part for sure.

That kind of stuff makes you wonder if these GM's are really evaluating or seriously looking at Mel Kiper's Big Board and going for the trendy social media pick. Not just because of this instance, but a lot of these high first round busts.

I think the issue lies in the fact that they have to go off game-film and information from coaches. The issue with coaches is, they're going to always pump sunshine for their players, they want more 1st round draft picks they can tout in recruiting. They don't have to worry about things after the draft is done. These guys aren't seeing them in the classrooms or on the practice fields. Some people are completely different when the lights are on and the cameras are rolling.

For many of them, they evaluate too much and overthink it. They spend so much more time looking for flaws and negatives than they do the strengths and positives. Then they overestimate how much their staff can help a guy and/or miss on the players' ceilings. But its not from lack of resources or trying. Another issue is teams reach too high too soon for many of them on draft day. See it every year, you'll see it this year with Levis. Some of that is GM's making self-serving decisions over team-serving decisions.

All I know. Watching Willis try to pass is painful. Hope the kid makes it, he has good athletic ability, but damn, when it comes to snap of the ball and progressions ... well, let's just say he has a long way to go..... like Nashville to Timbuktu distance, on foot. :p

BOB very well will end up with one of the HC spots. They will be in good hands as long as they don’t give him the keys to the GM office.
