| GAME THREAD 🏈 Michigan vs Alabama 🏈 ~ 4 PM CT on ESPN

Adjustments I'd like to see made

Offense:

RB Screens
WR Hitches or Slants
QB Draws
O-line blocking. Need to be better just all around there
Basically we just need to force their aggressive blitzes and rushing to work against them. They're not playing the flats and their zone is giving us 5-10 yards of freedom we need to take advantage of that. Force their dbs/S to come up more then start hitting the mid-range/long ball behind them. We need to hit quick plays anyways to get their D-line guessing between run or pass.

Defense:

Tighter Coverage over the middle/tighten up completely. When McCarthy has only thrown to his first read for 95% of the game and the 2 times he didn't we had a LB fall down on the play and then one where he almost threw an INT. Outside of that he's thrown it to read #1 every time. Even into bad coverage situations. Hell he threw one into triple coverage over the middle that probably should've been a pick also just because it was his 1st read. They're scheming guys open, gotta beat that scheme and show them our speed and talent.

Run stopping needs to be better, we're getting hemmed on the edges by their TEs and it's costing us on some of the runs. Need to be more physical on the edges and not let them block you out or in.

Pressure on the QB we need to force him out of the pocket more and we need to make him take a 2nd or 3rd read to keep the pressure up. To do that, we need to force them into some longer yardage situations.

We are right in this game even after a less than stellar 1st half. UM played well and caused us trouble on both sides of the ball. There is still plenty of time left in this game to make adjustments and take control of this game. RTR!

Who was guaranteeing us this was going to be a repeat of Bama v ND? I must not be remembering that NC game very well.

All I’ve been reading on Bama sites over the past month is that Michigan’s overrated and their stats are skewed because they haven’t played anyone. I agree they played a soft schedule but their defense looks legit. Their offense doesn’t look half bad either. And so far that idiot Hairbutt is out coaching Saban. The trifecta of unexpected results going into the start of this game. I sure hope Saban and Bama right the ship in the second half. Otherwise, it’s going to be a really bad start to my New Year!
