No No No. Just missed most of it.

The Vandy game I was referring to was the week after that game with ... who was it? W or E Carolina? I vaguely remember that game...Bama put up fifty and I can't recall if they allowed a TD: seems it may have been two field goals.

My memory was and still is a little blurry from that part of my past, so I don't remember much about the game. Hooters was the nearest place to the long stay hotel I was residing after my home was almost destroyed by a tornado earlier that year. I got to eat, watch some of the game and get my eyes full, all at the same time.

I remember more about the bar than I do the game. I had she-crab soup that afternoon that was ... well, here we are 17 years later and I still remember how good it was. The girl I was with had a Spinach Artichoke Shrimp and Crab dip ... oh man.

Almost forgot about last year. My brother and I were close to your neck of the woods, Myrtle Beach. The sorry hotel we were in didn't carry the Texas game. We went to a sports bar to watch. I again had a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. I had no beer that night. After having bragged how good Alabama was supposed to be to some of the patrons there, I left there with my tail between my legs.

Coffee didn't have a bad day. I remember Terry Grant having a great afternoon. As I recall, they didn't make it into the red zone that game.

It was one of those games vacated by the NCAA.

I have been to Hooters three times. First time was in Homewood to watch the game. Second time was in Irondale?, Eastwood mall area, Hwy 78 East, my work buddy and I had lunch there. Third time was in S. Al, Daphne I think. I had nothing better to do that time.
