🏈 🔎 Looking ahead to Georgia. Neither team is the same as they were a matter of week ago.

I think the thing with Williams is that he appears scared to death to go across the middle. To me at least.

He can stretch the field down the sidelines all day, but when your qb is getting pressured constantly, hard to throw it down the field. Ty appeared to be running for his life again against Auburn.

He also appears to struggle blocking in the edge. Something that’s super important for jet sweeps and any type of outside run.

That’s just my observation.
So I'm seeing lot of narrative towards Ryan Williams and some of it are quite reaching. This is my opinion.

1. Ryan is better suited to play outside, not slot. He does struggle with slot position and he seems to be afraid of big hits.
2. Ryan isn't healthy.

3. Alabama ran lot of 2 TE formations to help with Auburn pressure, so that took him out of game somewhat, but he was receiving same amount of snaps.. he shouldve had some opportunities with the ball Saturday but I can't remember him being open at all during the game.

4. You can't take out Bernard or Horton out of the game and replace one of them with Williams especially when he's dropping the balls. Ryan is going to have to start making plays playing inside and find a way to contribute. Brooks hasn't exactly played well so just gotta step up. I could see us going empty set time to time with four, five receivers.

5. @Brandon Van de Graaff and @TerryP have alluded that he has some stuff going on off field and he got people in his ears... His confidence isn't there right now.

6. I have ever confidence Ryan will find a way to contribute this weekend and build on that going forward.

All 6 are spot on with in my opinion 1 and 2 being HUGE! Just my opinion, but Brooks and Bernard have that “it” factor to play the slot. Horton “big frame” best suited outside and RW , his ability to take the top off is his strongest ability.
Number 4- definitely don’t take away from guys that are producing just to make or keep someone happy, when they have had issues catching the ball.
I think he is ready for a “get right” game this weekend.

It's Hill and Dear this weekend. I like the combination.

It's a bit depressing, and it's also one of those "saw this coming" moments. The TE room. I remember talking about the depth in the room and the need for development this season. It hurts going into UGA with no Jose or Danny.

Has Dear passed Riley? Where has Riley gone?

You guys realize the record under DeBoer is the same as it was under Saban at this time? And, headed to ATL? But, this time as a #1 seed instead of #2 behind UF? I'm not saying history is repeating itself. It can't. But good lord...a W Saturday and his resume is better.
Apples and oranges how they got there and where they came from as their starting point.
