He took over in the Kentucky game. That was my and my daughter very first game to watch live. Gary had trouble finding his helmet.

Yes it was! We were also the first group to travel down to the Barn and walk into that buzzsaw!

Bama wasn't physical enough to handle that Pat Dye team. Curry had too much Bobby Dodd in him. Their plan was to outsmart the other teams. There comes a time when you will to be able to knock their azz off the LOS. Pat beat Curry's team every year on the physical side then Coach Stallings came in an in one year Bama psychically beat their azz in 1990 at Legion. ( the score was damn close) but Bama had a couple of 4th qtr drives that drained the clock and stole the barn manhood. (Junior Sewell running with power...his best game ...maybe his only game come to think of it)
