šŸˆ Kevin Steele going to the Vols to help JP steady the ship

Guess that hiring freeze is over...

Also, this is somewhat interesting since Fulmer offered Steele the position of head coach before rescinding it and hiring Pruitt. This is proof that hatchets are pretty easily buried, albeit in sometimes shallow holes, in the world of college football.

And I've never got the impression that Steele burns his bridges thus keeping as many doors open because most of the doors coaches go through are revolving & rarely stop spinning.

interesting... but may be more to it.....than DC...

still some chance JP is going to be removed because of ncaa violations....
And all available decent Coaches are not available this late...
May be a chance to have Steele on hand if it happens.. and if doesn’t happen with JP...then still have a decent+ guy running D...with little talent though

All coaches are available if you have $$$. Contracts mean nothing anymore.

We are literally less than 10 days removed from Black Monday. There are a lot of good coaches available right now. We're also about three weeks from the last signing date. We'll see another round of coaches on the market. One of the best recruiters on Bama's staff is being heavily pursued right now. He's a pretty decent coach.

Aint nobody from bama staff going to Tennessee...as HC....( unless it was ns himself) there would be an uprising beyond belief in the Volunteer state

Very true and at any and all levels!!! Here in Sylacauga, we hired Andrew Zow to take over our program after a guy that had been HC for 15 years never could get out of the 1st round of playoffs. Well, Zow goes 7-3 this past season with a loss to eventual 5A runner up. Dabo calls him and offers him a job in their "player development" area. Zow is gone now and the HS is left looking for a coach.

Years ago at a high school football game in Prosper, he arrived via helicopter in the middle of the first half. Super distracting, he stayed for all of 5 mins. Thinking he hit 10 games that night around DFW.
Oh wow. That is some ego. I've read some articles about his short stint at Arkansas and how the consensus among the Hog fanbase was that Malzahn bringing him on at the barn would spell his downfall. Bo Nix went absolutely backwards under Morris. He was a decent OC at Clemson, but he is no head coach. He stunk it up pretty bad at SMU and he lost to the likes of Colorado State, San Jose State, and Western Kentucky at Arkansas. It'll be interesting to see where he lands. My guess is either back at Clemson as a lowkey assistant or ESPN
