| CURRENT EVENTS Israel is about to unleash some hell...

The restrictions on the Palestinians in that area is crazy. "You can't drive on this road" is a thing. Literally.

But saying they stole land? How do you support that thought? Stolen land and history don't coincide.
I support it by facts.

We've known this for years. This is not new with Hamas. It's been their tactic for years. Years.

Got a bit of an issue here.

"We're going to bomb here." That's not indiscriminate. Am I incorrect in saying Israel is saying "GTFO" and then bombing? Literally.

This is funny to me...ignoring what NATO is all about. You are a member of a party that once stood up for peace. All I see is war.

Let's go here for a minute.

How is this not Israel's land? Scholars decided it was.
There’s also the Oslo Accords which of course Israel ignored

There’s nowhere for them to go, Israel has turned it into an open air prison, Hamas’ attack gave Israel a reason to murder Palestinians, but now they have this country’s blessing.

We still stand for peace, we’re not the war mongers.

Israel stole and occupied the land. Hence why they’ve turned it into an open air prison. If it was Israel they wouldn’t be withholding food, water, electricity, medicine, etc.

Serious question, to any here... Why? Why can't they go to Egypt (or elsewhere)? I'm assuming because nobody wants them. And nobody wants them because of they act like savages. But, I'm open to other answers here, truly.

I don’t believe all Palestinians are savages no more than I believe all Jews are.

Why should Palestinians have to leave their homes? Because Israel said so?

The unemployment rate in Gaza (the reason why is an entire debate) is over 40%, how are people with no money supposed to travel?

To the first point, I can’t for the life of me see how the two sides can even be even remotely equated, but I never threw out the word “all”. Still, question remains (for me), why are they seemingly not welcome anywhere else?

To the 2nd… Personally, I don’t care if they leave their homes or not. That’s their choice. But knowing they are about to be literally bombarded for the foreseeable future, and to some degree, Israel will lay seige to Gaza… seems it would be well worth considering. Seems like it was more of a suggestion from Israel than a demand though.

There’s lots of places that would welcome them, Egypt, Jordan, etc, but again the unemployment rate is over 40% and 40% of the population in Gaza is children, so how should they travel?

Of course Israel is going to lay siege to Gaza it’s not theirs

They’re an adaptive bunch. If families in South America can figure out how to travel to the US/Mexico border, they should be able to figure out a path to Egypt.

I don’t really care to get into the argument of what is or isn’t theirs in re: to Israel. It’s one of those things that nobody’s mind is going to get changed on.

I recall reading something years ago that the “Palestinians” were nomadic farm workers for the most part, only becoming Palestinian when the Jews in the Levant became Israelis. Until that time all were Palestinians by virtue of residing in British ruled Palestine. After the founding of Israel the “Palestinians” became unwelcomed as residents in the same Arabic lands that they used to pick crops on. In other words they became pawns.

Perspective. This is from a Church member today.

My Orthodox friend Khader (who lives in Dubai) asks for prayers for his relatives who live in Gaza: Constantinos, Samira, Heba, Marwan, Suhair, Samira, Sayegh and Hilda and many more.

(Note: Not all Palestinians are Moslems – there are Orthodox - the original Christians of the Holy Land - and various kinds of Catholics, from after the Crusades.)
