True, true. One of our neighbors called one of my older brothers a hippy because he let his hair grow down a little below his collar. Around 1970.

I came to the conclusion it's impossible not to judge a book by its cover. I've also come to the conclusion it's almost impossible to remember that when it happens.

Everybody judges everybody. You can only judge what you are looking at until you get to know the internal person. Then you can judge the whole.

I wish him the very best this year. He's working. If he hadn't been so good early, there would probably have been fewer naysayers last year. No one bitched when Henry moved from 27 to 2, or the litany of other number changes.

I count this as the last meaningless thread before spring practice.

It's one thing to change to your high school number or just "your number". It's another to do that, change your name, and start campaigning "new me" type stuff. He was #1 in high school, but the other stuff???
