In my opinion he should, if he wants to bring his guy as a position coach.... I'm fine with that, but as the DC? No.

Sounds like that is what he's doing. The door may be closed on Travaris Robinson, but not locked... yet. Not saying he's coming back into the fold, but the line of communication hasn't stopped. So... glimmer of hope if you'd like that potential hire.

I understand it is a possibility, but I also tread lightly on this stuff when I see some of the more usual suspects on Twitter peddling it... But, I don't think DeBoer is giving up easily on him. He'd be a 3 part shot in the arm... continuity/stability, legitimately good coach, elite recruiter.

See posts above, there's some phone calls being made and some serious offers going out to him from Bama. DeBoer and staff want him for all the stuff Brandon listed above.
I think retaining T Rob might coax a couple of those young DBs to rethink their status in the portal.

Travaris Robinson was announced as Georgia’s new co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach on Saturday, but BamaOnLine has learned that Robinson, Alabama’s defensive backs coach last season, may not be completely out of the door in Tuscaloosa.
Multiple sources confirm that Robinson interviewed for the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator opening with new head coach Kalen DeBoer on Sunday. One source believes Robinson has an offer. We don’t have a timetable for a decision, but it should be soon.
Last year’s coordinator, Kevin Steele, retired just before the national title game, and Robinson, has DC experience, having coordinated the defense at South Carolina from 2016-20.

To be fair, he's usually been right about most of these. So this could be a mind blowing swap up and could pay dividends in recruiting and in retaining the roster if it pans out.

Yes, he's in play. It isn't a lock (from what I understand) as some would have everyone believe. His call, and we'll wait and see. But, the whole UGA thing, despite what some UGA folks may think, ain't in stone.

Just read from the UGA side that sources said “In order for Georgia to get Robinson they’re going to need to offer the full DC position and it’s not believed they’re going to do that because they’ll lose Schumann”.
No clue if that’s the case or not just what they said
