Have not watched the coordinator press conferences at the bowl games but a lot of headlines implying Goldin all but said he would be back in 2023. I could deal with BoB back better than I can Goldin. The Defense has just been subpar under his leaderhship.... I do not care if we are in a new era of offensive football. Until we stop using that excuse and demand better that is what we are going to get.

I watched both press conferences and I didn’t get that by what he was saying. Both coaches did the normal coach speak at least to me

O’Brien danced around the question. Not real sure what else he was supposed to say. He’s not going to come out and say, “yeah guys, this is my last game with Alabama…” It is, but he’s not going to say it. On Golding, I very, very seriously doubt he knows right now if it’s his last game with UA or not. Last I heard, his situation was much less clear heading into the game. As said before, if Saban can’t get someone he think will do a better job, then he’s not going to punt on Golding.

UA was (maybe still is?) doing background work and seeing what needed to be done to get Pruitt back. I can state that with 100% confidence. They wouldn't have done that if Saban wasn't serious about hiring him in some capacity. Doesn't have to be for DC. Doesn't have to be on the field. Doesn't necessarily have to have Sankey's permission. But on the latter, based on how Saban and Byrne have conducted business in the past, I doubt they'd go against his wishes (even though they should if they wanted to at this point).

Another thing I'll add is, Jimmy Lake is a name to keep an eye on as well for a staff position. There was been some commutation there.
Pruitt might do us more good back in the pressbox recognizing and making last second adjustments, rather than being DC.

Bama hasn't had a coach under Saban who could read an offense and adjust as quickly as Pruitt. Kirby was really good, but Pruitt was uncanny elite. Dude is rough around the edges, but he can flat out coach.

If nothing else, I'd hire his ass as a custodian for Bidgood Hall and just let him "hang out" in the football complex during his "spare time".

Honest Abe has a message.

I didn't mean it literally. But, open your browser, type a bit, and remove all doubt.

Kirby was at his best when he had Pruitt in his ear, I think.

I honestly do not believe.....PG is going anywhere...
BOB....ummmm....might.....but as fragmented as offense was...still productive enough to win big time if D was shored up

BOB is leaving, I’ve got no doubt about that. As for PG I wouldn’t be surprised if Saban that could help with the defense nor would I be surprised if PG says “screw this, I don’t want to be where people harass my kids over a game”

Not that important to me.

No coach is going to come out and say “This is it! I’m gone! Coach fired me, but I’m going to stay for this last game!” BOB is gone! No doubt in my mind. Our OC position has been the “rehab” spot for coaches for the last what, 10 seasons?!! As @Brandon Van de Graaff said, for PG, it isn’t as cut and dried. IF CNS can find a better DC, then Pete is gone. If not, Coach will continue to take his lumps with him and just hope that our offense can put score people. I think that should Sankey sign off on letting Pruitt come back into the SEC, Pete can call Two Men and a Truck today.

Eight, sans 2017 with Daboll. (The rehab position hasn't been limited to offensive coordinator—Lance and the coach from Auburn with the DV issue—can't think of his name.)

What's interesting about your observation is his rehab clinic on offensive guys started with the transition to the offense we've been seeing since Kiffin arrived.
