He'll have to be making $50M this year. All I can think of is he plans to gift his kids $50M each where them and their families would never have to work a day in their lives. Meaning they can start businesses, invest, go do their thing without ever working for someone else and being miserable. I just can't think of anything else unless he is really just that much of a competitor and wants to go out a Champion. He's still got the juice, no doubt about it. I was shocked he retired anyways, but I like your idea that he should get that time with his kids while he can. I regret not taking more time when my oldest was younger, and you just can't get that back.

He's a member at Seminole Golf Club. I'd say the hell with it and work on my game. He's still got a lot of years left to get really good at golf and at one of the more elite country clubs in the entire country. Once a competitor, always a competitor though, so I can't fault him for just wanting to be involved and trying to win.
 
I know I'm one of the lone soccer fans here; that's fine. My take is that Brady's trip to Manchester this weekend sealed the deal. Ronaldo, that egostical, self-absorbed LeBron of soccer, scored a hat trick yesterday. Ronaldo willed Man U to beat Tottenham with some three killer strikes (I don't like the guy, but damn...hats off to him for playing like he did yesterday). Ronaldo's 37, and while he's past his prime, he's still one of the world's best. After the game, Brady went to the pitch, and the two had a long talk. Later yesterday, we heard Brady's un-retirement news. Coincidence? Maybe...Probably not.

I can see that being the thing that sealed the deal for him, it was obvious from what little was captured of their interaction on the field that Tom was probably going to come back. He had to be thinking about it before though.
