| FTBL The Road to the SECCG and the playoffs

Very interesting how the mood on here goes from this team will lose 5-6 games and go to the crapper bowl to they are world beaters and destined for the NC game. The team has improved and played two really good games. The LSU game was a dominating win for sure but we are likely somewhere in between those to realities. Continue to say the team has a high ceiling but still a loong way to go. Maybe not as long as they had a couple of games ago but they still have deficiencies that will get exposed against the best competition especially if they listen to the talking heads.
Problem is. They do listen to all the flap...
Maybe they will realize how it affected them after the UGA game...
See in 36 hours

While Mercer is a good ball club, most will look at their classification versus what they are good at doing. I won't be the least bit surprised if they can put up 14 or more on Bama. Add to that, I won't be shocked if people are disappointed without taking into context what kind of team they are.
100% on that. I expect a good game. For awhile anyway...

This bama can be very good...but its not the type team....thats a gimme of 50 points vs weaker division team.....
As i have said before...its not a Tua to any of those 5 first round receivers type team...( especially Waddle)

2-3 score game...maybe 3-4

Nice find Terry.

Going by that, assuming Bama wins out, if UGA beats the Vols this weekend, we would be in the SECCG.

Would more than likely be an opponent that we haven’t faced in the SECCG also.

I feel like I need a slide rule, sextant and a magic compass to figure out the SEC. Championship game contenders this season. I wouldn’t want to be on that damn playoff committee for any amount of money either. I know some of this stuff is going to sort itself out over the next two weeks, but still, we are going to see at least one good SEC team get left out of the playoff mix. To be honest, I have watched Texas play several times this year front to back and I am not overly impressed with them as a whole, I watch Georgia last night and I just can’t figure them out the Florida game. They looked terrible the second half last night they looked like Georgia again. Ole Miss really impressed me against Georgia last week, but can they keep that up in a playoff stretch? And other than the LSU game I have not seen Texas A&M play this season. We should’ve beaten Tennessee flat out, we left them off the hook and did not play well to me Texas and Tennessee are the paper tigers this year even though they have flashes of brilliance

If there were only some "geek" that took the time to figure out every possibility and make it easy to figure out...and then, my god, post it on the Internet!?! 🙃

Literally, you can play with any scenario here.

The chances/odds of Bama being in ATL are increasingly getting bigger. The scenario I've ran here is basically "chalk." Click on calculate standings for how it shakes out. You can change the winners on the games if you like.

Now that Ga has beaten the Viles, does this put Bama in the championship game? I have to be honest, I don't know if I want to see Bama in the championship game. First, a conference championship is becoming less important as the playoffs become more important. Second, if Bama goes to the champ game and loses, I don't like our chances of making the playoffs as a 3 loss tea. Third, if Bama doesn't make the champ game they would get an extra week of rest before a playoff game. Terry, in your opinion, how would the playoff committee see a 3 loss Bama team, even as the SEC runner up, versus a 2 loss Big team? This is my concern.

Omg. A slide rule. You probably left 90% on here scratching their heads....
I picked mine up the other day...put it down just as quickly....

Tennessee QB is most overrated player in sec. Lsu most overrated team in sec...

Bama is in in that scenario: ranked wins.
I think you are right. If Bama makes the seccg. They in.

Really to be honest, I welcome the challenge. Send us to the SECCG! Win that thing and leave no doubt that we belong in the playoffs. I like our chances against the Texas teams.

When we are clicking on a cylinders, I think only Georgia can beat us. The last three games, we have been playing really well. I hate i ever questioned Milroe. Dudes a warrior.

Always observe the slide rule when engaging in sextant. Sounds dirty.
