The Good- shout out to the OL, overall a good game against the 3-3-5 defense of W.V. The backs had decent holes to run and Sims, for the most part had time to throw the ball. Grade B

The Bad- DL play. We are still having issues getting good pressure on the QB with our 4 down lineman. I do look for this to improve as the season moves along. The next two games and practices should be time to work on some correctable problems. Grade C-

The Ugly- secondary play continues to haunt the Bama defense. There is no other way to say it, we were horrible. W.V. had 2-3 catches that was well covered and outstanding but overall, this is the weakest area on the team. Grade D-

the one thought that ran through my mind about the bad was about Christion Jones. he missed 2 very big passes; one that would have put us easily inside the 10 and possibly a few yards more if he didn't outright score. the other wasn't as close to the end zone, but it still would have been a huge play, nonetheless.

i know receivers can't catch every ball thrown their way, but on both of those he was basically all alone and they were both very easy catches for a veteran receiver.

and i also would have to agree on the play of our secondary. there were blown coverages on more than a couple plays. and on a couple the cover was there but the defender just didn't try to make a play for the ball. this has to get better. or it will get WAY worse as the season goes on.

Good: place kicking and punting. What a pleasant change from 2013!
Bad: the on-going QB quandary. One person is the short-term answer; the other, the longer term answer. Not much time left to do the cutover.
Ugly: the secondary.
