The guy who runs Heisman Pundit believes we don't deserve another shot because lost to LSU on our home field, blah blah blah..... Shane is making all the right arguments but no one is wanting to hear it.

Let's go Notre Dame tonight and Sooners next weekend and throw Clemson in there for good measure next week although they do not look capable of beating the Hokies again.

It's a friggin tradition in my 44 years on this Earth and not much has ever changed. Ever read about 1966? Coach Bryant considered it his best team ever and BAMA was robbed by Notre Dame. It happened again in 1977.

I am already tired of hearing how we didn't even win our own division never mind that the top 3 teams in all of the BCS was in the same division last week (AP POLL as well for the first time since the early 70's). Parity is everywhere but the SEC. I do think we make it but it may be closer than most people think in Crimson shade country. If only conference champs should play for the NC, make that a rule but don't penalize us for something that doesn't even exist as a rule.

One thing that does concern me is the latest computer polls still have OSU at #2 and us at #3, Don't they make up 1/3 of the "formula"? There is hate out there for Bama and the SEC in general. They are tired of the domination over the years. But I would hope the voters vote logically for a showdown of the two best teams and not some crap choice because they don't want a "rematch".

Rant mode. Its not our fault we can't settle this with LSU in the SECCG, which is worthless this year anyways. So here we are and if any of those voters actually think our loss to LSU by 3the points in overtime is worse than a crappy Iowa State beating OSUlite than they don't watch the games. And that's a concern in its own as some will vote cause they don't watch games. Some will vote cause they want to see two best teams play. And some will vote for anything against a rematch. No matter what happens we will always know who the two best teams were the two best in the country.

That being said my gut and heart tell me we make it in. Roll Tide! In the meantime I'm going to become a Sooner fan.

I think you're dead on here Jason.

I've seen anxiety and frustration from fans when they hear someone commentating on the pro's and con's of this rematch. A lot of them do have a vote, but it's like you said—an AP vote.

Do you honestly think coaches, both current and those who are members of the Harris poll, are going to consider what Craig James thinks about a rematch or are they going to look at the two best teams in the country.

On top of that, look at the disparity in last weeks poll between #1, 2, and 3 in terms of points. We had as large of a lead over UArk as LSU did over us. The gap between Bama and OSU is astronomical.

OSU needed Stanford to lose. They didn't, and won't.

Also take a look at the conference championship games Big 10= Rematch(Wisc-Mich St.), ACC=rematch (VaTech-Clemson), and Pac 12 would have been if USC was not on probation. Also Big 12 would have been a rematch(kanSt- oklast/okla) if they still had divisions. Bama, LSU clearly best teams in Nation and should play for title no matter if its a rematch or not.

I don't know about that. All the LSU folks I know, me being among them, assume a rematch is at hand. We might not WANT to play Bama because we know Bama is the best team out there. Wouldn't LSU or Bama RATHER play Okie State? Of course.

I haven't been on your board since after the LSU game, but now that I'm sure "Round 2" is coming on January 9th, I'll be back discussing the next "Game of the Century" again!
