🏈 Team update 2.0

LOL. We have Dive bar in town that is usually busier at 8am than the nearby Waffle House. Liquid diets.

Where exactly are you?. I assumed you lived in Tuscaloosa or nearby.

@EasyTider It was when it was first purchased in 2010. Ask @It Takes Eleven or @12gage It was a biker bar.

Took about a year to change the clientele. Now, five years in, we're still remodeling things.

The guys that come in in the AM's are good people. They just want a drink, or two, after getting off work. I certainly can identify ... been on night shift work for a long time now.

Hell, I like the group in the mornings catching their buzz a lot better than those at night. All have solid jobs, families, etc...just looking for a place to hang out.

It was a dive bar for sure when I went, quickly removing my tie on the way. Since Terry was running interference for me, I didn't have to order a longneck for defense. That's my standard order when I walk into a bar that ends up being a little more adventurous than expected, "Longneck Bud, please". At the time, if I remember, Terry was using a cue ball for entertainment and self defense.

@TerryP , is it officially in North Charleston or some other burb?

RTR,

Tim

Mailing address is Goose Creek. But, it's just outside the city limits. The benefit there is people can drink outside and there isn't a requirement to have the area fenced off.

Tax structure is a bit different.
Been through Goose Creek a few times on business. If I'm ever down that way again, I'll stop in for a cold one.

Been awhile since I thought about that day. It certainly wasn't self defense. We'll call it repercussions for running your mouth and threatening me.

Freakin' punk ... gets under my skin a bit thinking about it this morning.

Terry it's a small world. I was stationed at the old Weapons Station there on Goose Creek for 4 years. I lived with this girl who had a nice place out on the isle of palms when I was actually in town. Spent a lot of time fishing inside Wind Jammers if you know what I mean. That place was packed with college girls every night.

There was a laundry mat there where you could bring your laundry and there was a bar inside. They would do your laundry for you while you ate 10 cent wings and got smashed. Perfect for a teenager in the navy who didn't want to have to deal with laundry..lol

I think my buddy actually got jumped in that biker bar..I'm quite sure he started it, as he always did. I never went there but I got to see him after he got back to the ship.

Memories of stupidity long past..lol

Ya, consisting of beer and liquor.

We're just outside the Navy base so there's a decent amount of people that work nights and stop by in the AM ... retired guys coming in ... etc.
When I worked EMS in New Orleans back in the late 80's early 90's I worked primarily night shifts and swing shifts, and yeah we'd hit the bar early in the morning when coming off of shift. I saw many lunch times roll around at St. Charles Tavern. And even Tropical Isle.

Organic, non gmo, huge portion, 50% off for them. Lol yes it is. They as in usually drake, geno, TB eat there daily.
