Sure did. I also spent a bunch of time at Foley beach. My buddy(the same one who started a fight in that Biker bar) Climbed a palm tree next to that restraunt with the big deck, with a rebel flag and a roll of duct tape and had it flying from the top of the tree.

Of course, he got us kicked out of the place. Stopped hanging out with him once I realized that he was going to start something everywhere we went.. I was a lover not a fighter, except when I had to.

But I spent plenty of time in Foley beach. I was stationed there at the Weapons station from 1991- 1994

Dating myself now..whew I am old.

I've leaned against that tree a few times after Sunday brunch (err, Mimosa's.)

small world.. I always like it there. I got a job back in Birmingham that started a few months after I got out so I traveled around some before I went home and got to work. I told my wife that the area up there was like Birmingham at the beach.

Let's see. Winningest high school football coach ( I think) retires this season.

Goose Creek High coached by former Clemson coach.

Geez ... I need some footbll besides this crap called NFL pre-season.

He certainly seems to be putting up the better numbers. Just going by what has been reported and mentioned here, he seems to be the most talented QB of the group, while Morris may be the smartest. However, I could see Barnett trying to make things happen more than he should, and making a bad decision like throwing into coverage instead of just getting rid of the ball (I believe that was mentioned in the scrimmage notes). Sort of like he is doing too much

Yeah he was trying to make plays, he learned a valuable lesson.

I like Sullivan's for a nice walk or to take the dogs out. A little life, but pretty quiet when you just want to take it all in and reflect.

I used to test the soil on the Naval Weapons Station while they were building all of those new houses on base. We made sure the ground was stable enough to hold a structure. Also helped redo the run ways at the airport naval base. Talk about a ton of freaking concrete. Plant onsite and test being ran almost 24 hours a day. Cores being taken, that was a hell of a job.

I know Saban doesn't want to play at freshman at qb,but I hope to see Barnett win the job.Bama really needs a mobile qb to add that extra dimension to the offense.That way other teams will have something else to prepare for.
