I really would not suggest Machete order to someone who has never seen the prequels. Everyone should make up their mind about all of the movies without having someone else force their ideas on them. Yes, Menace is the weakest of all the films, but some people actually do like it. And without it you miss Darth Maul.

He can always go back and watch it after.

They're gonna meet the $200m budget on opening weekend. It's gonna run for several weeks too, so this is a cash cow. How many of the cast negotiated back-end money as part of their pay? They'll be set.

I doubt very many of the actors get back end money. Most are not well known at all other than the main characters.

Just had my second viewing. This time in Imax 3D. Up front I will say I do not like 3D movies normally, but this one really did add a ton to the movie. Highly recommended.

3D sucks except in IMAX. It gives me a headache is standard theatres, not so with IMAX.

Yes. And as I understand it, that's the format the movie was shot in. $10 admission. Well worth it, imo.

Yes, you are right,it was shot in 2D with regular cameras. I will tell you one extra. It was not filmed digitally, but with stock film.

There aren't many locations to see it in 70mm IMAX. Lots of HUGE cities missing from the list. A bit disappointing. Everything else is digital IMAX (not the best). There are 7 IMAX with laser locations (next Gen IMAX)

Just saw it in digital Imax 3D this morning.even better thanlast time. While it may not be true Imax, it is still far better than other theaters here.
