| FTBL Sooo, it's "official" UGA vs UA a *Blackout*

Sweet, I like Georgia's black uniforms. Does this mean we should be intimidated though?

Its like Notre Lame wearing the green jerseys in big games......it just gets the fans pumped bc its something different. It wouldn't matter if Bama wore pink and the Dawgs wore turqoise....its gonna come down to who's veteran QB makes the fewest mistakes and throws the ball accurately down field when guys are open. The winner of that category wins the game IMHO. I love games like this. I have a good feeling this game will make Daniel Moore some money... cool8)

Like that chit matters.

Crowd will be into it if they were wearing thongs!!

Their number 3 for $#%@ sake.

Their good. Real good.

Sounds kinda bush league to me but I don't think CNS or Mt. Cody GAS what anybody's wearing. :?

see this is wear i disagree...

fans make a huge difference. when we were up there before and they came out in black, the pa played that crap song soldier boy, that place went crazy and that was when mareno arrived. that team blacked out an auburn team that was holding their own. little things like that make a difference. in reference to the daniel moore money making, have you heard that the university is wanting their cut now from his pictures? they are so money hungry and i dont understand why. its not like we are broke.

The last time we wore white helmets we got beat by Vandy. 'Nuff said.

We should spoil the party. Come out in warm-ups with all white...white helmets..white jerseys..white pants (no stripes). Then our regular road whites for the start. Anything to cause a buzz. It's all in fun anyway. Think of the many ways we can let the steam out.

Sabans not in to shenanigans. But wouldn't it be great...

Somebody get on the ball and start selling Bama fans game time T-shirts..."GOOD GUYS wear WHITE...Bad guys may wear Black but they still have an stupid looking "G" on their helmets.

The 'G' is for stupid looking 'GET UP'

I have read that players in black jerseys are tough to play against. That the black jersey is hard to keep an eye on. With it being a night game and the majority of the stadium being in black, will this be a disadvantage for our guys as far as being able to keep a good eye on the opposing team?

^^Eh, thier numbers are still going to be white.

It's not like the Hedges is going to be dimly lit. I think its just more of a fan/school rally thing than anything.

If the players get affected by what the other teams wears, then they don't deserve to be playing in the first place IMO. Teams should come ready to play no matter if you're going up against pink, purple, blue, skins, whatever.

I did not mean to come across like it would determine if they would win or lose. I am not too sure on how to explain what I am trying to ask.

I understand what you are thinking ;tr

i just don't think it has (or should have) any real effect on the players as opposed to the fans.

Think the last team to try something like this
was tenn. when they came out in orange shoes,
i think we beat them 56-28 and the last time
they wore them ugly shoes.
maybe the ga. team should take heed if they
ever want to wear them again. Sad attempt to
motivate your team unless you think you are
going to lose. ROLL TIDE ROLL !!!

Used to, coaches would pull out the alternate jersey for motivation after pre game warmups. I guess Richt sees he's gonna need all the help he can muster to try and pull this game out for the Dawgs. I think announcing it so early takes the edge off the excitement from the crowd.
By the way, black jerseys doesn't give anyone any type of edge unless you are playing in piss poor lighting.

I don't think that Ga. needs gimmick jersies to get ready for this game. Richt is just playingto his fan base with this.
