Same, he is borderline too tall! Similar to the kid from Arkansas Dan Skipper. Will have to work on staying low/leverage. I felt the AR kid got called for holding at times just because of his size.
Skipper didn't have the footwork to be a LT IMHO. He just got out quicked to the edge.
So we have heard the number 27 for so long now as to the number of kids we will sign. Recently, maybe due to transfers and signs of early entry to the NFL, I have seen the number 30. Right now, we sit at 25, with 2 of those already signed in Baker and Buggs out of the JUCO ranks. How do you think we finish? We have heard 1-2 DL left to fill this class, 1-2 WR left, 1-2 DB. Also, we hear that the DB Dean is more than likely going to flip and we aren't going to fight it. So the potential for 3-6 slots remain. Which guys do we get?

To be honest, if we could snag Ruggs and Ray, I would consider this group a super awesome class, no matter what else. But if we added Solomon and Mathis, first because they're good and we do need to shore up the DL, but of course with Mathis, you can literally hear the weeping and gnashing of teeth all the way from BR. I know, I'm a stinker.
If we are taking another JUCO, Kinlaw sure is acting like he can't stay away. And Rivers would be my last resort pick when all else fails for obvious reasons.

Yesterday I understood it to be Smith and Ruggs, a safety, and as many as four defensive linemen.

Must suck knowing your future is to lose 4-5 games a year and miss the SEC Championship in favor on inept offenses at Florida. I don't dislike Kirby, but he is no Nick Saban, so I don't see the kind of turnaround Georgia fans are expecting.
The university of Alabama is allowed to sponsor 56 official visits. We have used up 34 of them with 17 of those recruits actually committing to us. This was a good recruiting article on where we stand with all the recruits and what we should conclude if new names start popping up for late January official visits.

Mac Jones planned on enrolling in January. May take an official visit to Missouri. He remains committed to Alabama, and I expect him to sign with the Crimson Tide.
Just spoke with Mac again.
He said the issue is with his high school. He has completed the necessary course requirement to enroll early. His school is just not allowing him to do so.
His family along with Alabama are working to resolve the issue.

Either there are "computer classes" that maybe a bit questionable or the School Admin Staff are not Bama fans. In this age where guidance counselors falsify grades and transcripts to get kids into school, this seems to reek of showing Mac that he should have selected another school. Wonder where the school staff went to school?
