NCAA Women's Golf Championships: Finals Arizona vs Bama Wed 5/23 2:25p

Abe did a great job on 17 just to take it to a playoff. I would have taken my club and wrapped it around a tree and then proceeded to triple bogey 18 and lost in regulation. Future is bright for the ladies!!
One day, you and I need to play. After all...I always love free drinks and food.

I gave up on golf years ago!! I didn't care that much about getting better and I have too much of a baseball swing! Let me use my fungo bat from the tee box and I'm good!!
Once I get my right shoulder fixed, I will play a round with ya, Terry. I suck but I do like to get out there two or three times per year. Preferably when it is in the 70's or low 80's outside. I am a hot natured mofo.

What's your handicap? Anytime we want to get a rolltidebama foursome out at Cuscowilla I'll pick up the tab.

Around a 5 I'm thinking. It's been a few years since I did the math. I'll tell ya this. I"m a little pissed off at my game if I'm in the 80's. Really pissed off if I'm 85+.

That being said, Karsten Creek? I was happy getting two rounds in the 70's on that course. I wasn't too disappointed in the low 80's.
Cuscowilla
I've not played that course. I have played The National...geez, 2013 I'm thinking.

OK, you would be kicking my ass. I have had only one round in the low 80's, only about 4 in the 80's period. Granted, I have only played about 20 rounds total and I have cheap clubs(Knight) with a cheap Dunlop putter.

I'm around a 14 at Cuscowilla, but probably a 10-12 elsewhere. I play maybe twice a year due to young kids, but hoping that will change now that my oldest two are seven and four and can start going with me. Any time you want to come play, let me know.

@planomateo Shouldn't have deleted that. It was funny.

I played a round in a charity event around 10 years ago and saw a pastor, whom I believed when he said he hadn't played before, shoot and 88. His game was all about staying safe--within what he could do. Hell of a round for his first time.

I am seriously considering getting a 2-iron and playing off the tee with that to minimize any mistakes. I can nail my 4-iron, so I imagine a 2-iron would be much of the same. I can hit my driver between 240-275 depending on how loose my grip gets, but also depending on the grip depends on whether I'm playing way right of the fairway or not. It's smart if you can hit your irons far and just playing it safe where your game is weakest.

I've got a Ping Crossover Hybrid I put in the bag on occasion. If you're wanting a driving iron, it's a pretty safe bet if you hit the ball straight. I can keep the driver in the short stuff at 280-290 off the box. Occasionally, I'll try to rip it...lose control then.

Hit the course and get your professional to gauge your set composition.

LOL, only played 20 rounds and 20% of them are in the 80s...liar :poke2:

undeleted @TerryP
Not exactly playing tough courses. The only legit course I have ever played was Silver Lakes in Gadsden, part of the RTJ Trail. Only played there because my company entered a tourney there. Rest of the courses have been simple(read, cheap) courses.

Not sure I'd say it's easier to hit off the tee, but I've had one for 12 years :D

Anyone notice the problem with my fitted clubs?
