šŸˆ Looking ahead to Cincinnati: Alabama opens as a 13½ point Cotton Bowl favorite. (UGA -7½ vs UM.)

On paper, Alabama is ...
On paper, Cincinnati isn't ...

While I'm well aware UGA didn't have a good season in 2020, and I'm aware that they had about a half of a dozen players sit in their game with Cincy last season, there's something I believe has to be taken into account.

Cincy has a solid group of seniors who were a part of that team that gave UGA a run for their money last season. Coby Bryant, mentioned earlier, is one of those super seniors we've talked about this season.

True: Alabama has a roster full of higher ranked recruits than Cincinnati.
Also true: Cincinnati has a roster full of more experienced guys who weren't ranked as high as their opponents on the 31st.

It's my opinion that experience shouldn't be discounted so quickly.

If Bama doesn’t drink the koolaid, eat the rat poison and they take Cincinnati seriously then they should beat them by at least 3 scores. If they think all they have to do is dress out and show up, who knows?

Their secondary is good but those stats are against lesser competition so a bit padded so to speak. As for Gardner, not that he is not really good, he has allowed 14 receptions in 32 attempts this season….that’s just under 50% which isn’t otherworldly. My optimism is high

I watched some of acouple Cincinnati games...just for interest....navy n tulane
I didnt see much...
But saw a little of couple othere they looked sharp....

Can say same for bama,..sharp a few...not so much for others

Their QB is impressive......o and d lines not so much...

This isn't a Utah Sugar Bowl type moment. This is a PLayoff game with a National Championship at stake. I don't think these guys are going to allow that "Group of 5", "not highly ranked recruits", "lesser schedule and competition" keep them from realizing the end goal. Can't look forward because you don't know who you'll play. I think we focus, get healthy, get awards season behind us, and get ready to make a two game run.

I would love a shot at Michigan. As close to Ohio State as we can get, so it'd be nice to see a new competitor with a Natty on the line. I'm not as concerned with Cincinnati, but know we need to play our butts off and make sure we don't give them any room to make plays. They have nothing to lose. Their goal was to make it here, so they're playing on house money now, if you will.

Expect everything......nick will have bama ready....

Glad he has got more involved in Defense,... aand maybe play calling

Tickets and money going heavy on Michigan not only to cover, but to win outright.

Cincy is a run heavy team that needs to stay on schedule. They don’t particularly enjoy much success in the 3rd and long situations and Ridder isn’t as accurate on those ā€œmust throwā€ downs.
