šŸˆ Julio's Knee

Saw Julio on campus today and asked in a friendly manner (or I thought so anyway) "how's the knee?" I thought I saw an almost imperceptible nod, but I don't know if that was a "it's fine," or a barely restrained impulse to kill me lol. By the way, he's huge in person, I'm 6'3" and felt he towered over me. It was alarming. :elephant:

Considering how quiet Julio is, a nod is about all I would expect regardless of the number of times he has been asked. I don't expect him to play unless he was absolutely needed. If he's in street clothes Sat. its no big deal. If he is on crutches, then we have a problem.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a player that hasn't participated in practice on Weds. that played on Saturday. Can you?

I doubt we'll see Julio and I doubt we'll see Upchurch.

Not a big deal—I like the fact we can rest them this weekend.

Agreed Terry. I think we have more than plenty in the stable that there is no sense in putting those two out there at all Sat. Put them in their jersey and jogging pants and a hat and cheerlead the younger guys.

McCoy seems to run better routes anyway....seems to get open easier..even when double-teamed....and doesnt drop the ball as much here recently. Julio has not impressed me much so far this year...I really hope he does not have or is getting the " ochocinco, T.O. " syndrome.

I don't think Julio will EVER get that syndrome! No matter how big he gets, star wise.

lol this is incredible. McCoy is good and runs good routes but to say he runs better routes than Julio is ridiculous and he gets open easier because he isn't double teamed almost every down. see how that works? Julio dropped a pass each in the first two games, not like him, but not something to panic about either. jeez. and where in the hell do u get the Chad Johnson, T.O., stuff? just felt like sayin some random stuff?

I will give McCoy props for improving his route running. JPW did lock in on Julio a lot last year, but to be fair to him, McCoy was not running his routes crisply enough to get separation from the defense.

lol...You can believe whatever you want but bottom line is Julio missed some catches that he most certainly should have caught. McCoy played very well as did the rest of the receiving corp. The media portrays him to be the best....just hope he doesnt buy into all that garbage and continues to execute well.

Believing isn't a part of it...Birdman is 100% correct. Just because he dropped two or three passes he probably should have caught doesn't suddenly make him some arrogant showboat, and to even suggest that it would is ludicrous. He's human, and yes it would even be a little rough for Julio if he's double teamed...something the other guys, as well as they have played, have the luxury of not having to worry about. The guy is one of the most humble and one of the hardest workers on this team.

Settle down man you had to know that the way you worded your initial post would garner this sort of reaction. Your post seemed to carry the meaning that Julio wasn't the best and that he may be doing worse because he is starting to believe his own hype.

The problem with this argument is that Julio has done nothing that would indicate that even in the least bit. His reasons for missing catches that we think he should have caught could range over so many reasons. Then to insinuate that McCoy is better at running routes and getting open anyway just makes no sense. There is a reason why Julio is considered one of the best in the nation and its not because he is 2nd best on our team. If McCoy made the impact that you seem to think he does then Julio would not be constantly double teamed as there are simply not enough men on the field to cover everyone and either McCoy or JJ would be lighting up defenses with ease.

Basically I'm saying dont get upset or annoyed because someone called you on what they believe is flawed logic. We can all constructively disagree from time to time and state your opinion but when you put it out in open forum you have to know that a different opinion may exist and will be voiced.
