I know there have been some knocks on him- no defense, for one. But he knows Oats expects D and he is athletic enough to provide it- he showed some in those highlights.

I have to wonder how good is his competition if he has scored that many of his teams' points the last two games???

Jeff Davis HS is 7A and currently undefeated and the last highlights were against 4A Wilcox Central, which is currently winless at 0-2. Calhoun is a 2A school by comparison.

The kid still looked impressive in the video. I saw several hustle plays that turned into scores so hopefully the knock that @bradenob mentioned is bad just bad press. Glad he is bama bound regardless.

Not a problem! I’ve been a sports junky all of my life. My dad officiated basketball for 42 years and during my early childhood, I watched A LOT of HS basketball games until I began playing myself. When you asked the question about the competition, it got my curiosity as well.
