| FTBL It’s honestly shocking to see how openly anti-SEC so many writers are.

Hell, they're the same way about Alabama! And the KC Chiefs, & the Yankees and any other entity that wins most of the time.
I don't pull for the SEC because it has members like Auburn, UGA, LSU, UT, and other teams that we compete with for players and $$

What I don't understand is how the "writers" from places like AL.com (not just them Terry!) take so much glee when Bama loses - a lot of the $$ they make is tied to how successful Bama has been - less followers, less $$

It does appear today, that there is a shift in the football landscape… it looks like the Big10 is surpassing the SEC in physicality…The Big10 now, looks like the SEC during there Decade of dominance… BUT THAT IS FIXABLE..

Jump on wounded. Thats the mentality.
Always is. But some times it just truth.

The al, com crew does this because AU is their favorite. Anything they can slam Bama on is pure gravy. That has been the case for 40 years.

That dipshit Stewie Mandel threw a barb at Peter Burns yesterday over a pro-SEC tweet. Which would be fine with me if Beta Mendel wasn't the absolute worst CFB media guy out there with his bullshit takes and remarks. And he had that title before he was shaming schools over COVID protocols in 2021, or declaring all fans must be vaccinated to attend games, etc.

Who thinks the media is unbiased? Anybody?
I don't believe any of the reporters we discuss aren't holding bias. I do believe some of those covering sports can still remain objective: though they seem few and far between with each day passing.

A great example of that is the late Stu Scott; his love for UNC was balanced with his reporting on collegiate basketball.

His apology tour was one of the most entertaining "walk-backs" I've seen. "I live in California! My view was biased based on the people I hand out with. It was wrong, but don't blame me. Blame who I choose to have as friends, blame who I choose to take their advice."

Tell me I'm wrong. His animous filled (IE: Saban, Bama) tone in his reporting was affected in 2010-2012 because he was following a fan site: oversigning.com He jumped on that bandwagon (I recall him comparing Tressel and Saban on hardship waivers) and his content went from reporting to opining.

Personal, based view: Should I expect something different from a Northwestern grad covering college football? I mean, Greeny certainly has set an example with covering the league. 🙃
