Are the quotations marks journalistic freedom here? While he said "we don't know" this "It will go away like magic" deseres a (sic.) I see that as misconstruing things.
I continue to see "he did nothing" and then I look at the timeline and pause. WHO's declaration...on the 30th as I recall and travel shutdown was enacted by the 2nd of February.
As I also recall it was the 21st, maybe 22nd, when the CDC first reported the travel related case in the US. 10 day period where there was a lot of opposition to the travel ban. We still had people from John Hopkins saying it wouldn't help after it had been implemented.
I also recall there were only six other countries that had a ban in place before the US started ours.
Something I consider after each opinion voiced here; it's 20/20 highsight on something that's unknown. A more proactive measures should have been taken?
“It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear."
Direct quote.
And yes, a lot of people said it wouldn't help because we already had cases here. That's kind of the point. That's why I said he did nothing. When we should have been preparing for what was about to hit we were allowing all of our PPE to be exported and did a meaningless ban on people coming from China and some from the UK. All the way the leader of the free world was telling us it was nothing. If you think that a person that people literally roll with lock step saying something isn't a big deal IDK what to say to you. It is a very big deal. There is a large section of this country that would literally go jump off of Trump Tower if he said to go do it. So, when he's going around and downplaying it and saying it's going to be gone soon and there is nothing to worry about, that's how people are going to take it. You don't need to look much further than the first few pages of this thread.
I didn't accuse you of assaulting your wife. I was, however, genuinely concerned for her well being because of your anger problem, not because of your views. I'm getting that way again.
The anger problem you invented in your head because you don't like what I have to say. You've never met me, never spoken to me outside of a message forum. Don't quit your day job because internet psychiatrist isn't gonna pay the bills.
It's a fact that this virus is not as bad as forecasted. You claim you speak in facts, but the fact is that this virus has not been as bad as you and a lot of other initially thought. A lot of lies and corruption at all levels on this mess. You're too emotional and angry for anyone to converse with. You talk down to people instead of talking to people. Anger? Yeah, others have seen it as well. Reminds me of a teenager that thinks it's everyone else and not them. You chide the older members of this thread, but you are showing nothing different than every other young chump out there that thinks they know at all. We're the same age, so spare me your bullshit about age and views on life. Just move forward and realize you don't have all the right answers nor do you know it all like you suggest on here. And once again, if you feel like you can do better, get off your ass and do something other than pecking at a keyboard bitching about the failures of those that are attempting to do something.
Virtually nothing you said is true, though. Not as many people are going to die as was forecasted. That is a good thing but that doesn't mean it's "not as bad as people said." I've actually spoken to health department officials and doctors, meanwhile you know more than them. More ad hominem and projection from you with the rest of this.
But wait... we're the same age? So, you're 33? Yet you're calling me a "young chump?" And I know I don't have all the answers but I try to find the answers. Meanwhile you pretend that you do and project that on me.
